FKIP – The Mathematics Education Student Association (Himmadika) Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta welcomes new students from the 2022 SNMPTN pathway in Samaru (Welcoming New Students). This event was held online through Google Meet on Sunday (17/4/2022).

According to Aditiya Muhammad chairman of Himmadika, this event aims to provide information and descriptions to new students of Mathematics Education for the 2022 SNMPTN pathway about the world of lectures, study programs, and associations.

“Providing information needed by new students of Mathematics Education 2022 and providing an overview of the world of lectures and Himmadika,” he explained to the fkip.uns.ac.id team.

The event, which was attended by Himmadika administrators and new students of Mathematics Education for the 2022 SNMPTN pathway, began with a speech from the general chairman of Himmadika, an introductory session, and continued with the presentation of materials. The materials provided included UNS, study programs, UKM, and Himmadika.

“Samaru was opened at 13.00 by the host, then filled with remarks by the general chairman of Himmadika for the 2022 period. After the remarks, then entered the event, namely introductions. In this session, both Himmadika administrators and new students were asked to introduce themselves by stating their name, place of residence, and class. After the introductory session, it was continued by giving some material,” he said.

After the presentation of the material, the event continued with a sharing session, and games, and ended with a group photo.

“After the material session, it was continued with a sharing session in which there was a question and answer session between the administrators and new students about the things that had been conveyed earlier. The next session was a game and ended with a group photo,” he continued.

Aditiya hopes that this activity will not only introduce the campus to new students of Mathematics Education for the 2022 SNMPTN pathway as well as get to know each other with previous batches of Mathematics Education students.

“This activity hopes that new students of Mathematics Education become closer to their seniors, so they can communicate with each other to exchange information about the world of lectures. New students are also expected to get to know more about college, UNS, Mathematics Education Study Program, and Himmadika itself,” he said.
