FKIP – The Student Association of the Biology Education (Biosphere) Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held food sharing activities during the month of Ramadan. This activity was carried out on Sunday (10/4/2022).

This activity was carried out along the road from UNS to Kliwon Market and Legi Market, Surakarta. This was conveyed by Alfiatus Sa’diyah as the chairman of the Biosphere activity committee for food sharing.

“The location of this activity is at Legi Market and Kliwon Market. Along our way to the location, if we meet people who meet the provisions, we will give them,” said Alfiatus when interviewed by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Friday (15/4/2022).

The recipients of the food distributed are workers, such as pedicab drivers, weightlifting workers, and others around Kliwon Market and Legi Market.

The existence of this activity aims to increase awareness and a sense of sharing among Biology Education students towards fellow Muslims who are fasting.

“The goal is to increase awareness and share with fellow Muslims who are fasting through the sharing of food,” said Alfiatus.

In its implementation, the Biosphere Student Association held an open donation which was held from April 4-9, 2022. The results collected were then given to the community in the form of 145 food pieces.

From this activity, Alfiatus expressed his hope. He hopes that this activity can foster a social spirit and concern for the community among Biology Education students, FKIP UNS.

“The hope of this activity is the growth of a social spirit and concern for the community by Biology Education students. In addition, we also hope that the food distributions that have been carried out are right on target in providing assistance. So, they feel helped,” concluded Alfiatus.
