FKIP – Student Association of Sociology Anthropology Education Study Program (Himadiksan ) The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta welcomed new students from the National Selection for State Higher Education (SNMPTN) on Saturday (9/4/2022). This activity is carried out online via Zoom Meeting.
This new student welcome activity aims to welcome new students from the SNMPTN pathway and introduce the Sociology Anthropology Education study program. This was conveyed by Meisita Anggraeni as the chairman of the committee in this event.
“The goal is to get to know and welcome new SNMPTN students of the 2022 Sociology Anthropology Education study program,” Meisita said when interviewed by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Friday (15/4/2022).
The welcoming activity for new students this time carried the theme “Harmony in Diversity, Now We Unite” which means togetherness in diversity. According to Meisita, this is in line with expectations for new students to be able to establish friendships and get to know all of their diverse study partners.
“The Samaru takes the theme “Harmony in Diversity, Now We Unite”. So, in this theme, it is hoped that all new students of the Sociology Anthropology Education Study Program class of 2022 can establish friendly relations and get to know all their friends who come from various diversity and increase the sense of brotherhood and kinship so that the unity of diversity is expected to become a beautiful harmony. “explained Meisita.

This activity was attended by the Samaru (New Student Welcome) committee, student association administrators, and students of the Sociology Anthropology Education study program from various levels.
The activity began with a speech by the chairman of Himadiksan, Ricky Erlangga. Then continued with the introduction of all new students on the SNMPTN pathway, sharing sessions, and questions and answers.
In the end, Meisita expressed hope for the implementation of Samaru activities on the 2022 SNMPTN pathway.
“Hopefully, new students can quickly adapt to the college environment, then socialize well, have high spirits because it is not an easy journey to become a student. You can get to know other freshmen better,” concluded Meisita.
