FKIP – In commemoration of Kartini Day, the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program (PTM) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta in collaboration with Astra Motor Central Java held a webinar safety riding on Thursday ( 21/4/2022). Themed “Proud to be the #Search_Aman Generation”, the webinar was held online through the Zoom Meeting application.

Moderated by Andriana Sulistyowati as a student of the PTM FKIP UNS Study Program, this webinar presented two speakers. The first resource person was A.K.P. Yuna Ahadiyah. He is the Head of Sub-Directorate of Kamsel Ditlantas Polda Central Java.

In the webinar, he explained several material points related to safety riding. The material points include an overview of current traffic conditions, criteria for road users who get the main right to take precedence, electronic traffic law enforcement (ETLE) mechanisms, ETLE location data in Central Java, as well as important information related to the 2022 Eid homecoming. In the material, he explained the seven criteria for road users who obtained the main right to take precedence.

“There are seven sequences of road users who get the main right to take precedence. The first user that must come first is a fire engine on duty. The next order is ambulances transporting sick people, vehicles transporting accident victims, vehicles from the leadership of the RI Institute, vehicles for state leaders or officials who are state guests, funeral convoys, and convoys that meet the requirements,” said A.K.P Yuna.

The second resource person is Alfian Dian Pradana. He is the Safety Riding Instructor of Astra Motor Central Java. He explained the material ranging from the number of traffic accidents in Indonesia, the definition of a safe generation, how to be a safe generation, to tips for driving while fasting. According to him, there are seven tips for driving while fasting.

“As a generation looking for safety during fasting like this, there are seven things that must be considered when driving. The seven things are planning a trip, getting enough rest, getting enough nutrition, warming up, concentrating on driving, thinking positively, and predicting danger,” he explained.

The webinar ends with a question and answer session, and documentation.
