FKIP — The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta in order to glorify and revive the month of Ramadan held Isha prayers and Tarawih prayers together on the second floor of the Ki Hadjar Dewantara UNS Building on Wednesday (20/4/ 2022). The event was attended and attended by university leaders, faculty leaders, faculty academic senate, heads of study programs, all education staff in the UNS FKIP environment, and also attended from Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) UNS.

Acting as imam of the Isha and Tarawih prayers by Dr. Muhammad Muchtarom, S.Ag., M.Sc., as educators at FKIP UNS. Furthermore, the tausiah was given by Prof. Dr. Munawir Yusuf, M.Psi. who said that the key factors for success are three things, namely honesty, discipline, and interpersonal skills which are the most important things as future educational characters that must be instilled from now on.

Prof. Munawir also conveyed the hadith of the prophet from Abu Bakr Asidiq. Prof. Munawir explained that it is obligatory to be honest.

“It is obligatory for you to be honest, because honesty is with goodness and both are in heaven, and keep yourself away from lying because lying is with disobedience and both are hell,” said Prof. Munawir.

Next Prof. Munawir also advised that it be made and used as a slogan in education at FKIP and UNS.

“We ask that the Dean and the Chancellor can be used as a slogan to be honest, like FKIP is good and honest, and also UNS can be honest, because honesty must be instilled from the beginning for students and the entire academic community to shape the character of education in the future in Indonesia. the FKIP environment in particular and UNS,” said Prof. Munawir.

On the occasion of closing, Prof. Munawir conveyed the verses of the Qur’an, surah At Taubah verse 119 and the hadith of the prophet narrated by Muslims. Next, closed with a prayer led by Prof. Munawir.

Furthermore, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., as the Dean of FKIP UNS said that the Isha and Tarawih prayers together are a form of revitalizing and glorifying the month of Ramadan this year. This activity is also a form of carrying out the direction from the university leadership to carry out good deeds in the month of Ramadan, so that it can bring goodness.

Furthermore, Dr. Mardiyana also explained that in the month of Ramadan there are many good deeds that can be done, one of which is seeking religious knowledge through education.

“With us exploring and learning a lot of religious sciences that we get in this month of Ramadan through education, it can indirectly make or become a form of character education for us and for the future,” said Dr. Mardiyana.

Dr. Mardiyana also expressed his gratitude to the chancellor and university leaders who were also present at the Isyw and Tarawih prayers together.

“On behalf of the faculty, we express our gratitude to the Chancellor, Deputy Chancellor, the leadership, invited guests, and all those present in accompanying us all in tonight’s activity,” said Dr. Mardiyana.

During the welcoming session, the Chancellor of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho said that all those present were the chosen ones.

“Ladies and gentlemen, all those present at the event tonight are the chosen ones and may Allah always bestow rewards, favors, and health blessings on all of us,” said Prof. Jamal.

Prof. Jamal also said that honesty is built with a good religion, for that in the last ten days of Ramadan he advised to always increase the practices of worship and goodness to be closer to Allah, so that during the month of Ramadan, one can have a character to be more faithful, pious, and better than before.

In the closing session, Prof. Jamal said that FKIP UNS is a very large and strong faculty with lots of human resources and students, so it can be managed properly for the better progress of UNS because FKIP is a pillar for the progress of UNS.
