FKIP – Study Program (Prodi) S-1 Educational Technology Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta had the opportunity to introduce himself in the UNS Talk and Greet Forum BISA! which was held by the UNS New Student Admissions Selection Team (SPMB) on Friday (20/5/2022). The forum was held online through a live broadcast on the @spmbuns Instagram account.
In addition to the S-1 Educational Technology Study Program, FKIP UNS, the forum also presented two new study programs at UNS. The two study programs are the S-1 Study Program of Chinese Language & Chinese Culture, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) and the S-1 Study Program of Digital Business, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNS.
Moderated by Stefany Caesararya Permatasari as the 2021 UNS Campus Ambassador, the forum was packaged in the form of a talk show. The moderator gave questions that had been prepared by the committee and participants and were answered by representatives of the three study programs. The S-1 Educational Technology Study Program was represented by Dr. Agus Effendi, M.Pd. He is the Chairperson of the Talkforce Proposing the Establishment of the S-1 Education Technology Study Program, FKIP UNS.
At the beginning of the discussion session, Dr. Agus explained about the readiness of educators and teaching materials owned by the S-1 Education Technology Study Program, FKIP UNS. He mentioned that the human resources and teaching materials owned by the S-1 Educational Technology Study Program FKIP UNS had met the existing standards.
“We have quality human resources and teaching materials that meet the standards. There are 17 lecturers and 1 admin staff, where our lecturers are a team of S-2 Educational Technology and S-3 Educational Sciences supervisors. For teaching materials, S-1 Educational Technology it’s more about how students can implement a TPACK-based learning media development. They are taught to design, design, and evaluate a tool to facilitate the delivery of learning, “explained Dr. Agus.
Furthermore, he also explained the graduate competency standards that graduates of the S-1 Education Technology Study Program, FKIP UNS, would possess.
“From various modes of learning in educational units, both formal and non-formal, S-1 Educational Technology students are expected to have graduate competencies to develop an instructional program. They are able to develop and evaluate innovative, creative, and fun learning models in order to the achievement of an optimal learning outcome. In addition, they can also become managers of educational technology media centers and form jobs,” explained Dr. Agus.
At the end of the discussion session, Dr. Agus explained that there were no special requirements to become a student of the S-1 Educational Technology Study Program, FKIP UNS. He also advised prospective new students to choose study programs that have a vision for the future.
“There are no special requirements to become a S-1 Educational Technology student. Everyone has the same opportunities as long as they have the will and interest. I advise prospective undergraduate students, choose a study program that has a vision for the future. A study program that can get you a job is appropriate. guidance in the future,” explained Dr. Agus.
