FKIP – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta received a visit from the History Education Study Program, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). The visit was held in the Meeting Room of Building G of FKIP UNS Postgraduate Education on Thursday (9/6/2022).

With the topic of discussion and hospitality, the two parties shared about the educational curriculum, the implementation of the MBKM program, the new student admission system for postgraduate education programs, and so on.

The event was attended by the leadership of FKIP UNS, the Quality Control Team for the History Education FKIP UNS, as well as the Head of the S1, S2, and S3 History Education Study Programs, and Lecturers of FKIP UNS and UPI History Education.

The Dean of FKIP UNS in his speech represented by Dr. Djono, M.Pd. as the Deputy Dean for Planning, Cooperation, Business, Information, and Alumni said that FKIP UNS has 48 study programs, namely 5 doctoral education study programs, 17 master education study programs, 1 professional education program (PPG), and 25 education study programs S1 with a new study program opened this year, namely S1 Educational Technology.

Next Dr. Djono also said that there are 10 study programs for this year that will be internationally accredited, one of which is the S1 History Education study program.

“We, together with the Dean, are targeting that in 2023 the undergraduate education study program can get excellent accreditation. This year, there are 10 internationally accredited study programs, both already in progress and in the process of being submitted, including one of them, is the History Education study program. In addition, together with the Dean, we are also strengthening the laboratories in each study program,” said Dr. Djono.

Next Dr. Djono also said that this discussion and friendly activity is expected to be continued in the form of collaboration with fields or activities that are mutually beneficial and support the progress of joint education, both FKIP UNS, and Sebelas Maret University, and the Indonesian Education University.

Next Dr. Djono also conveyed his welcome and thanks for the visit from the History Education University of Indonesia Education.
“Once again, we ask for the permission of the Dean, on this occasion, to not be able to attend with us because there are assignments outside the city and other leaders who are currently carrying out other activities. We also welcome and thank you for visiting FKIP UNS”, said Dr. Djono.

Prof. Dr. Nana Supriatna, M.Ed. as the Curriculum Sector for the History Education Study Program, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, conveyed a goal to FKIP UNS, one of which was friendship.

“We also represent the UPI History Education study program, thanking you for this extraordinary welcome. Our arrival here is nothing but a relationship and we ask for permission to discuss and learn together about the educational programs at FKIP UNS, especially history education, “said Prof. Nana.

Next Prof. Nana also said that currently, the government has launched many educational programs that must be achieved. So with this discussion, we can help and support each other from the UPI History Education study program and the FKIP UNS History Education study program in achieving and realizing performance achievements and programs that have been set by the government.

After that, the event continued with discussion and hospitality led directly by Prof. Dr. Sariyatun, M.Pd., M. Hum. as the Head of the S3 History Education Study Program, FKIP UNS, started by giving an explanation of the curriculum system in the S2 and S3 History Education Study Program FKIP UNS.
