FKIP – Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held an offline 2022 Alumni Gathering event in the Hall of Building G Postgraduate FKIP UNS. This Alumni Meeting was held on Saturday (2/7/2022).

This Alumni Gathering event presented BK Study Program alumni from class 1979 to 2017.

On this occasion, the Head of the BK Study Program (Kaprodi), Dr. Naharus Surur, M.Pd. give a welcome. In his speech, Dr. Naharu has to convey his hopes regarding this activity.

“This alumni gathering is a routine activity if possible. So, we have an alumni association group where each generation has a representative,” said Dr. Naharus.


Next, the activity was opened by the Deputy Dean for Planning, Business Cooperation, and Information, namely Dr. Djono, M.Pd.

“This BK study program is a study program that has existed since Sebelas Maret University was established. Alhamdulillah now, at the admission of new students, BK ranking four for social humanities. So, the level of tightness is very high, namely 1:37, “explained Dr. Djono.

The activity was continued with lectures from lecturers and alumni. The first resource person is Dra. Chasiyah, M.Pd. as a retired lecturer from the BK FKIP UNS Study Program.

“In the past, the name of the study program was not yet Guidance and Counseling, but it was still Guidance and Counseling. The thing that makes me sad is that in the past the BK Study Program was not allowed to accept new students, who were allowed to manage transfer students,” said Dra. Chasiyah.

The second resource person is Prof. Dr. Asrowi, M.Pd. as Professor of BK FKIP UNS. Prof. Asrowi said that the demand for Key Performance Indicators (KPI) is increasing.

“The IKU demands are getting tougher. KPI is also determined by each study program. So, here I am the oldest in terms of generation, I feel there is a burden to contribute as an alumni. So with this meeting, later we can form cooperation between study programs and alumni, “said Prof. Asrowi.

The third resource person is Drs. M. Hari Mulyadi as an alumnus of BK FKIP UNS. In his presentation, Drs. Hari conveyed about the history of UNS and conveyed the job prospects of BK graduates.

“So BK alumni are not only teachers. Besides being a teacher, we are required to devote ourselves to our environment,” said Drs. Day.
