FKIP – Teacher Training Faculty Student Unit and Education Sciences (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held an Entrepreneurship Workshop on Strategies for Designing and Developing Student Entrepreneurs in the Digital Age on Monday (27/6/2022) online through a zoom meeting.

This activity aims to realize the implementation of the tri dharma of higher education in achieving the targets of the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) of higher education, supporting the Student Management Rating System (SIMKATMAWA), and fostering the entrepreneurial skills of UNS students.

This activity presented resource persons from UNS, namely Susantiningrum, S.Pd., SE, MAB, as the Head of the Center for Entrepreneurship Development (PPKwu) UNS and Antonius Irawan Eko S, SE as CEO of Solutindo Tech.

The activity began with remarks from the Chairman of the Committee, Abdul Haris Setiawan, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D. He said that this activity was held in collaboration with the UNS FKIP student unit and the support from the UNS FKIP leadership. This activity also provides financial incentives for student entrepreneurship development.

“Besides, we brought in entrepreneurship and business experts, namely Ms. Susantiningrum, S.Pd., SE, MAB, and Mr. Antonius Irawan Eko S, SE. After this, UNS students who successfully passed the proposal for entrepreneurship ideas will receive a stimulant fund of 5-7 million from universities,” explained Abdul Harris, Ph.D

Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si., the Dean of FKIP UNS, in his speech said that the faculty welcomed and appreciated this workshop activity because it can make students have an entrepreneurial spirit and support the achievement of UNS Main Performance Indicators (IKU).

“We welcome and appreciate this workshop activity because it can initiate students to be able to prepare and start a business from an early age so that when they graduate they can be ready to start and grow a bigger business. This activity also helps in achieving the university’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and can produce students who have an entrepreneurial spirit with superior skills,” said Dr. Mardiyana.

Furthermore, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si., also said that this workshop activity is expected to be a facility for students who have an entrepreneurial spirit or talent to be able to develop and help realize a bigger business in their field.

Next, Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Sc., the Deputy Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs in his speech said that entrepreneurship workshop activities are very good for encouraging students to be independent.

“Entrepreneurship workshop activities are very good to encourage students to become independent entrepreneurial figures who have superior skills or skills. So, it is hoped that students can try, start and join so that they get assistance and guidance in running their business, “explained Prof. good luck.

The next activity was the presentation of training from resource persons Susantiningrum, S.Pd., SE, MAB, as the Head of the Center for Entrepreneurship Development (PPKwu) UNS, and Antonius Irawan Eko S, SE as CEO of Cipta Solutindo Tech. The activity was guided by Abdul Haris Setiawan, S. Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D as moderator.
