FKIP – The Art Education Study Program (PSR) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held the Adhikarya Art Exhibition on Friday–Sunday (10–12/6/2022). The activity was carried out offline around the Gallery Building E FKIP UNS.

This art exhibition is called Adhikarya with the theme “Learning Process to Create Artwork”. This was stated by Sigit Hariyanto as the chief executive.

“The theme of this exhibition is about the learning process in making works of art, especially fine arts,” said Sigit when interviewed by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Monday (18/7/2022).

Sigit explained that behind the implementation of this activity, the meaning to be conveyed was how to give a special impression.

“The meaning to be conveyed in this exhibition is how to give a special impression. Departing from the name Adhikarya which is taken from Sanskrit which means special work. It is undeniable that every work must have a special value. Awareness of this is one of the foundations for how the Adhikarya exhibition was launched,” said Sigit.

This activity aims to strengthen the relationship between PSR Study Program students and also as a space for reflection and presentation of work.

“The purpose of this activity is, first of all, it is clear to learn how to organize an exhibition event, to strengthen the relationship between PSR students from the 2021 batch of students and those who are older, as well as all those involved in this activity. As a space for reflection and presentation of works. With this exhibition, of course there will be room for appreciation and in that appreciation there must be room for criticism and suggestions, now this is the important room for criticism. Why? Because with the criticism, it means that the work we have made is properly considered,” explained Sigit.

Sigit explained that the enthusiasm of the participants and visitors was quite large. This is evidenced by the number of visitors totaling more than 250 visitors.

“The enthusiasm of the participants in this matter is quite large and beyond expectations. On the first day, more than 250 visitors and it was beyond expectation. Frankly, at first I thought that this Adhikarya exhibition would be empty of visitors. However, in fact the enthusiasm of participants or visitors in appreciating works of art, in this case art is still quite high, “said Sigit.

At the end, Sigit expressed his hope for the implementation of this Adhikarya exhibition.

“As the meaning of a special work. So the hope is that hopefully they will be able to give a special impression that will stick together and be unforgettable for all involved in it, especially the 21st generation PSR students themselves because this is the inaugural exhibition that is being held,” concluded Sigit.
