FKIP UNS – FKIP Alumni- Doctoral Education Study Program or S3 Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a gathering forum with S3 Alumni of Education Science which on this occasion was only with alumni of the class of 2018 and took place in the Gedng G FKIP UNS Meeting Room on Friday, (29/7/2022). This activity is a form of collaboration between the S3 Education study program and alumni of the class of 2018.

The gathering forum between the S3 Education Science stud program and alumni of the class of 2018 was attended by the Dean of FKIP UNS, the manager of the S3 Education study program, professors in the S3 Education Environment, and alumni of the class of 2018. This activity is one of the components that have a considerable role in efforts to improve the quality of a high-income institution. One of the roles of alumni is that alumni can contribute as a liaison between the institution and the general public and with other institutions. How the image of an institution in society is determined also by the image of its alumni. In addition, alumni can also play a direct role by contributing to the institution, both material contributions, and contributions of thoughts and energy.

Dr. Mardiana, M.Si. as the Dean of FKIP UNS gave appreciation to alumni and study program managers for the implementation of this activity which showed the establishment of good relations between the institution and its alumni. He advised alumni to be able to play an active role in society wherever they work by making their best contribution as graduates of S3 Education UNS because the progress of UNS and the career progress of graduates will affect each other.

The Head of the S3 Study Program in Education FKIP UNS, Prof. Gunarhadi, M.A., Ph.D. gave appreciation to the Class of 2018, most of whom graduated on time, with an average length of study time of 3.5 years. The success of completing the study on time is the result of good synergy between students, supervisors, and study program managers. Monitoring that is routinely carried out by the study program is one of the factors that encourage students to complete their studies on time.

Alumni of the S3 Education Class of 2018 are currently working in various institutions, such as educators in several universities both public and private, managers of educational foundations, and educators in high schools. Through the alumni gathering forum activities- this study program, apart from being a tracer study event for higher education institutions, is also a place for the exchange of ideas and initiation of cooperation between alumni. In this activity, alumni of the Class of 2018 handed over a multi-functional printer to the manager of the S3 Education Study Program, as a form of alumni contributed to the development of the Study Program.
