FKIP – Another proud achievement was made by students of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. The reason is, the team led by Dji Hanafit, Students of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program (PTM) FKIP UNS managed to get a silver medal and special award in the World Science Environment Engineering Competition organized by the School of Environmental Sciences, University of Indonesia (UI) and Indonesian Young Scientists Association (IYSA).
The team consisted of Rakel Junetty, a student of the Mathematics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNS; Ramandha Ayu Damayathy, a student of Chemistry Study Program, Faculty of Engineering (FT) UNS; Rezza Mahardika Putra Prasetyo, a student of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, FKIP UNS; and Zalfaa Azalia Pursita, a student of the Special Education Study Program, FKIP UNS. By carrying out the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Mobile Application, they were declared the winners of the achievement on Thursday (21/7/2022).
Contacted by the journalist team at fkip.uns.ac.id on Saturday (30/7/2022), Dji expressed his gratitude for the achievements he has made with his team. He also expressed his pleasure in enjoying the process of this competition.
“Of course, we are grateful for the results we got. We enjoyed the process and felt happy from starting to prepare until deciding to contest this CNC application. During the process, we can learn to develop a product that provides benefits to help someone in studying, especially for vocational students majoring in machinery, “said Dji.
Furthermore, Dji explained that the CNC Mobile Application is a learning application for students of Vocational High School (SMK) majoring in machinery. He also explained that the application was designed under the guidance of Taufik Wisnu Saputra, S.Pd., M.Pd.
“CNC Mobile Application is a learning application for Computer Numerical Control subjects for students of Vocational High School (SMK) majoring in machinery. We designed this application together under the guidance of Taufik Wisnu Saputra, S.Pd., M.Pd,” explained Dji.
Dji added that this application is focused on increasing students’ interest in learning CNC programming codes. This application is also equipped with modules that have been developed by them.

In addition, this application has been tested in several vocational schools in Solo. The results show that this application can help increase students’ interest in learning in CNC subjects,” he explained.
