FKIP – Master of Teacher and Elementary School Education Study Program (PGSD) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta received a visit and agreed on cooperation and held a public lecture with Hamzanwadi University Lombok in the Hall and Meeting Room I of the Soemarno Building FKIP UNS on Tuesday (5/7/2022). The activity aims to find out related to the Academic Management of the Institution. The public lecture discusses material on the Challenges and Support of the Driving School Program.

This activity was welcomed and attended by the Head of FKIP UNS, the Leadership of FKIP UNS, the Head of the S2 PGSD Study Program, Lecturers, and Students of S2 PGSD FKIP UNS. In addition, the delegation from Hamzanwadi University was also present, namely Vice Rector I, Vice Rector III, Director of Postgraduate Studies, Head of the S2 Study Program, and S2 Students of Basic Education FKIP Hamzanwadi University Lombok.

Dr. Padlurrahman, M.Pd., the Postgraduate Director of Hamzanwadi University said that the arrival at FKIP UNS aims to learn, see firsthand and absorb important information, academic management, and non-academic governance that can be adopted to be able to become a university that excels in the tri dharma of higher education, namely research education, community service, and global competitiveness, especially for the Postgraduate Study Program.

Conveying that we hope to realize our vision to become an institution or university that is globally competitive and has a student culture.

“We hope that coming here wants to realize our vision to become an institution based on student culture and global competitiveness, so we choose FKIP UNS as one of the places to be used as a reference in helping to become an institution that has good global competitiveness and is good for us, so that from that we can also participate in becoming the essence, especially the Postgraduate Study Program, to become an institution that is capable and has good global competitiveness with other universities”. Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UNS Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si., in his speech said that FKIP is one of the largest faculties at UNS because it has 48 Study Programs consisting of 25 Undergraduate Study Programs, 17 Master Study Programs, 5 Doctoral Study Programs, and 1 Teacher Professional Education Study Program (PPG) by overseeing or having 27 fields of study.

In addition, related to quality assurance, at the University level, there is LPPMP available at the faculty level we already have our Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) where there is a division in the Internal and external Quality Assurance Simtem division, and there is a monev and quality audit division, and it is divided into science and social studies, while for the study program we have a Quality Control Team (GKM) which is responsible for quality assurance in the study program.

“Regarding joint discussions on governance management and cooperation, it is hoped that we can help each other and benefit each other, both FKIP UNS and Pascasarjan Hamzanwadi, and with the existence of cooperation can be realized and developed in the form of other activities”. Added Dr. Mardiyana

Furthermore, the event continued with a public lecture which was attended by Hamzanwadi Postgraduate students and FKIP UNS students in the Hall of the Soemarno Building FKIP UNs, and a separate room in Courtroom I followed by a signing event for the tri dharma of higher education cooperation and discussions from the leadership of FKIP UNS with Hamzanwadi University.
