FKIP – Students of the Economic Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta won 2nd place and gold medals in the history of high school teachers and students at the Memory In Cave (MOVE ON) Competition 2022.

Memory In Cave (MOVE ON) Competition 2022 is a competition organized by the Indonesian Science Olympiad Center (POSI). The competition is held online through the member.posi.id page on Monday-Tuesday (13-14/7/2022).

In the competition, Rizki Wahyu Perdana, a student of the Economics Education Study Program, won 2nd place and also won a gold medal in the history of high school teachers and students.

Interviewed by the fkip.uns.ac.id team. on Thursday (11/8/2022), Rizki expressed his impression of getting this achievement.

“Previously, I have often participated in competitions or Olympic competitions from POSI, but this is the first time I have been able to win the championship and the best position. This Olympics trains our memory and understanding of the questions being tested whether they are difficult, easy, or moderate. The material taught is the same as the curriculum in schools in general, only the questions tested are mostly in the form of application and are Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS),” said Rizki.

Next, Rizki told the process until he won 2nd place and won a gold medal.

“Memory In Cave (MOVE ON) Competition is carried out only through 1 stage. The implementation is held online via a cellular phone (smartphone) or using a laptop/PC connected to the internet network. The questions are in the form of multiple choice, and the duration of the questions takes 90 minutes. The ranking of the winners is determined based on the total score. The total score is determined based on the number of correct answers multiplied by 4 plus the number of incorrect answers multiplied by -1. For the same value, it will be determined based on the participants who complete the competition,” said Rizki.

In the end, Rizki conveyed a message to keep the spirit of achievement and pursue as much potential as possible.

“Keep the spirit in achieving whatever field. Cultivate and persevere and explore as much potential as you can. Both academic and non-academic achievements, all have a stake in soft skills and hard skills when needed in the world of work later. For those who have not won or won an award, they still have to be enthusiastic, because there are still many things that must be explored to be more accomplished in the future, “concluded Rizki.
