FKIP – Students of Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta who are members of the Independent Learning Community Service (KKN) 5 Independent Campus (MBKM) 5 carry out KKN activities in Donohudan Village, Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java. This KKN activity was chaired by Bintang Adhie Perdana, a student of the Chemistry Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UNS and supervised by Dr. Suryadi Budi Utomo, M.Sc.

All members of the MBKM 5 KKN group came from the Chemistry Education Study Program FKIP UNS, including Ayu Tri Rahmawati, Dewi Wulandari, Fatma Dewi Atika Sari, Indah Wahyuni, Indriyani Pangestuti, Inka Pungky Rahmawati, Latifah Sari, Rika Yulianti, and Zamira Zia’ul Huda .

KKN MBKM 5 UNS held a “Training for Making Donohudan Typical Souvenirs” which was attended by several representatives of Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) members of Dukuh Tegalan, Donohudan Village, Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java. The event was held offline by implementing health protocols on Friday (12/8/2022) at the Donohudan Village Hall from 14.00 WIB to 17.00 WIB.

Bintang, the head of the MBKM 5 KKN group, explained that the program is one of the efforts to increase the potential for entrepreneurship and creativity in developing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Donohudan Village with the aim of making Donohudan have unique food souvenirs of their own production.

“The purpose of holding this souvenir training is so that PKK women are able to innovate to develop the potential of existing MSMEs and can produce new products that can later be used as souvenirs typical of Donohudan Village,” said Bintang.


The training program for making Donohudan souvenirs invited Fiska Amanda Mulia, S.Pd. as a trainer for making brownie chips and as a speaker on business innovation. In addition, the MBKM 5 KKN group also took part in the creation of Donohu ​​and another souvenir, namely Chocolate Tempe Chips.

Nungsri as the head of the core PKK of Donohudan Village said that the program for making Donohudan souvenirs was very helpful in improving the business spirit of the PKK women in Donohudan Village. He also considered the event to be running smoothly.

“With this program, we feel very helpful. The program can also be implemented well and smoothly. Previously the KKN brothers had coordinated with me as the head of the core PKK and related village officials, so that the MBKM 5 UNS KKN Group could prepare the right needs according to the program,” explained Nungsri.

In addition, the field supervisor for the MBKM 5 KKN UNS Group also gave a positive response to the implementation of this activity.

“This program is very useful in empowering PKK women to develop MSMEs in Donohudan village. In addition, this program is also useful for KKN students because it can be used as a learning tool in pioneering business innovations, “explained Suryadi.
