FKIP – Sukoharjo, July 11, 2022, the Vocational Education Development and Green Building Technology Group Research Group (K26073607) held a PKM activity packaged in the form of Training on Optimizing the Use of Survey and Mapping Tools for Total Station which was held for 4 days, July 11, 2022, to July 14, 2022.
Broadly speaking, the 4-day training activity consists of: (1) the first day, learning the basics of mapping and theory about total station tools and the practice of using total station tools; (2) the second day, studying the theory of closed polygan measurement and the practice of measuring closed polygons; (3) the third day, studying the theory of open polygan measurement and the practice of measuring open polygons; and (4) the fourth day, learning about data import and data processing.

With the implementation of training activities to optimize the use of surveying and mapping tools for total stations at SMKN 4 Sukoharjo, it is hoped that it can improve the quality of learning soil measurement science, where teachers can apply optimization of the use of survey tools and total station mapping in the implementation of land measurements for learning in schools and can inform teachers on the same subjects at smk cognate.
As one of the Group Research in the Building Engineering Education Study Program of FKIP UNS, on an ongoing Vocational Education Development and Green Building Technology Group Research seeks to increase research and community service activities which are the obligations of the tri dharma of higher education for lecturers.
Training on Optimizing the Use of Survey and Mapping Tools intended for SMK teachers is not only useful for improving the quality of learning and encouraging the achievement of university IKU but it is also expected to have an impact on increasing synergistic cooperation with partner schools, especially VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS in the Sukoharjo area. Where cooperation with partner schools is very important as an effort to facilitate students in carrying out educational internships and provide a wider space for lecturers to carry out collaborative research involving teachers and students.
