FKIP – Early Childhood Education Teacher Education (PG PAUD) Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a workshop with the theme “Implementation of TPACK in PAUD Learning”. This event was held online through Zoom Meeting and the PG-PAUD FKIP UNS Youtube channel on Sunday (24/6/2022).
The event was moderated by Nurul Shofiatin Zuhro, S.Pd., M.Pd. It presented two speakers, namely Dr. Pujiriyanto, M.Pd. as Lecturer of Educational Technology Faculty of Education (FIP) Yogyakarta State University (UNY) and Dr. Nita Priyanti, M.Pd. as the Head of the Master’s Study Program (Kaprodi) of PAUD PAUD University Panca Sakti Bekasi as a resource person.
Dr. Pujiriyanto, as the first resource person, explained the concept of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) in 21st-century learning which consists of an understanding of analyzing the phenomena and characteristics of 21st-century learning, analyzing the characteristics of 21st-century students, analyzing the adjustment of the teacher’s role in learning the 21st century, and predicts a picture of the application of TPACK as a technology integration framework in 21st-century learning.
“In welcoming the first 21st-century learning, ladies and gentlemen, of course, we must first understand the context in which we are now, where we are now active, and the challenges ahead, so that first, we will try to unravel and analyze the phenomena and characteristics of learning. 21st century. Then, secondly, we will analyze the characteristics of students, especially children today, which is called the possible generation, which will be facilitated by you ladies and gentlemen, is the alpha generation, which they are already attached to with ICT tools, so we need to understand the characteristics of children. at an early age, because these characteristics become the main basis for us to manipulate learning,” he explained.

Then Dr. Pujiriyanto also said that teachers must be able to adjust their role in learning, namely in things that can develop, such as pedagogy, technology, and content of learning materials. Next, estimate the description of the application of TPACK as a technology integration framework in learning for reconceptualization.
“Now the next thing we will try to analyze is the adjustment of the teacher’s role, so the teacher must change, must adapt to new roles in 21st-century learning. Now, this is a challenge in itself, because in this adjustment of roles, Mr. or active competence, both related to pedagogics, technology, and content of learning materials. Then the last is to estimate the description of the application of TPACK as an integration framework, so this TPACK needs to be understood this is a framework so in its implementation we need to hope that later it can be reconceptualized again,” he continued.
While Dr. Nita Priyanti as the second resource person explained the implementation of TPACK in learning in PAUD, which is very important for teachers so that they can integrate the teaching process with all aspects of learning.
“Teachers who can integrate how the teaching process can run well, know the content to be taught and how to use technology as a tool to achieve the planned learning objectives, so that later the learning process is integrated between all aspects,” he explained.
According to Dr. Nita Priyanti is an important thing in learning because TPACK is a theory that was developed to explain the set of knowledge needed by teachers to teach effectively using technology. The theory provides a new framework for integrating technology in education to provide the best learning experience for students.
