FKIP – Kebumen Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) Student Association (Hima PGSD) Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a workshop, exhibition, and blood donation at the PGSD Hall FKIP Kebumen on Sunday ( 7/8/2022).

Smart week is an annual activity held in order to improve the climate of achievement among students. The event is a series of activities from smart week.

At the event, the activity was opened directly by the Regent of Kebumen Regency, namely H. Arif Sugiyanto, S.H. through video viewing.

Dr. Suhartono, M.Pd., as the Head of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) FKIP Kebumen was also present to give a speech. In his speech, Dr. Suhartono gave his support to continuously develop this event to be better in the following years.

Workshop activities in collaboration with Gemeksekti Batik Village, Kebumen and Pandan Weaving Village, Grenggeng Village, Karanganyar, Kebumen. This workshop carries the theme “Assembling Culture in Millennials Works for Kebumen Jaya”. Meanwhile, the blood donation activity is in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) unit in Kebumen Regency.

Teguh Marwantoro as the Chief Executive of the Smart Week activity said that the purpose of holding this activity was to form a climate of achievement among students.

“Improving the climate of achievement among students in the fields of science, sports, art, and music,” explained Teguh when met by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Sunday (7/8/2022).

Furthermore, Teguh explained that the series of activities held received a good response from each target activity.

“From the series of activities held, each of them has a target and, thank God, each activity is quite enthusiastic. It is evident from the activities held by various universities,” said Teguh.

At the end, Teguh conveyed the hopes that he wanted to achieve from this activity.

“For the committee, it is hoped that they can improve their ability to manage events and train students’ character so that they can work together and collaborate to develop an event that can be enjoyed by the community. For participants, it is hoped that they can increase their interests and talents, especially in the fields they are engaged in,” concluded Teguh.
