This seminar and talk show is the culmination of a series of MEF (Mechanical Education Festival) activities. The theme of this activity is “For Sustainable Development: Future Trends are Renewable Energy and Enabling Technologies”.

The webinar was opened with remarks by Dr. Yuyun Estriyanto, ST, MT, the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, FKIP UNS.

“This event is oriented to increase the younger generation about the importance of renewable and sustainable energy to live a long-term life,” said Dr. Yuyun in her speech.

presented a material entitled “Future Trends in Renewable Energy and Enabling
Technologies”.

“If we look at several sources of renewable energy, there are 2, from the sun and sources in the bowels of the earth. From the sun there are several, there is solar energy, wind, water, biomass energy,
the point is from the sun. Then, geothermal energy comes from the bottom of the earth,” explained Dr. Syamsiro.

Next Dr. Syamsiro discussed EBT conversion technology including geothermal energy (geothermal), solar energy (PLTS), wind energy (PLTB), water energy (PLTA & MHP), biomass energy, and waste.
