FKIP – Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta received a visit as well as collaborated to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Faculty of Education, Stefan Cel Mare University Suceava, Romania which was in Meeting Room I Soemarno Building FKIP UNS on Monday (12/9/2022). The collaborative activity discussed research in the context of the Curriculum for Mental Health and Child and Adolescent Welfare in Schools.

Also present in this activity Assoc. Prof. Aurora Adina Colomeischi as Dean of the Faculty of Education, Scale Cel Mare University, Suceava Romania, Dean of FKIP UNS, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., Vice Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Sc., Deputy Dean for Finance, Human Resources, and Logistics, Dr. Dewi Kusuma Wardani, M.Sc., Deputy Dean for Planning, Business, Cooperation, and Information, Dr. Djono, M.Pd., Administrative Coordinator, Non-Academic Sub-Coordinator, Academic Sub-Coordinator, Head of S2 and S1 PGSD Study Programs, Head of S2 and S1 Educational Technology Study Programs, Head of Educational Science Doctoral Programs, Head of Counseling Guidance Undergraduate Study Programs, and the Head of the PG PAUD FKIP UNS Undergraduate Study Program.

Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., as the Dean of FKIP UNS in his remarks, conveyed the information in FKIP UNS and several study programs that have received international accreditation.

“FKIP UNS consists of 48 study programs of which there are 25 Bachelor study programs, 17 Master study programs, 5 Doctoral study programs, and 1 Teacher Professional Education (PPG) study program in which there are 24 Fields of Study. Of the many study programs at FKIP UNS, there are 6 internationally accredited study programs. Among them are internationally accredited Indonesian Language Education study programs (FIBAAExtraordinary Education accredited (AUN-QA), Economics Education Internationally accredited (FIBAA). For others, they are still in the process of applying for international accreditation, which in 2023 we hope that all undergraduate study programs will be internationally accredited,” said Dr. Mardiyana.

Next Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. also added that at FKIP UNS there are international cooperation activities carried out every year including The International Conference on Teacher Training and Education (ICTTE), International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education (ICLIQE), Annual Engineering And Vocational Education Conference (AEVEC), International Conference on Science, Mathematics, Environment and Education (ICOSMEE), International Forum on Life Sciences and Education (IFOLSE), and International Conference on Science Education and Technology (ICOSETH)”, added Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc.,

Next on the occasion closing, Dr. Mardiyana hopes that the cooperation agreement that has been established can be carried out as well as possible so that it can provide mutual benefits and added value or benefits between FKIP UNS and the Faculty of Education, Stefan cel Mare University, Suceava, Romania.

Assoc. Next Assoc. Prof. Aurora Adina Colomeischi conveyed the offer of professional training opportunities available at her faculty.

“Stefan cel Mare University’s Faculty of Educational Sciences offers professional training opportunities through undergraduate programs (Psychology, Pedagogy of Primary and Preschool Education), master’s degrees (Management of Educational Institutions, School Counseling, and Emotional Education, Communication Didactics, Resilience in Education), as well as through training programs psycho-pedagogical activities carried out to certify the professional skills of teachers and contribute to the development of skills that are by the practice of the teaching profession and official endorsement in a teaching career. The degree program is designed to allow students to acquire knowledge,” added Assoc. Prof. Aurora Adina Colomeischi.

The event continued with a sharing session between the Faculty of Education, Stefan Cel Mare Suceava University, and FKIP UNS and closed with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between FKIP UNS and the Faculty of Education, Stefan cel Mare Suceava University, Romania.
