FKIP — Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta and Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) collaborated on Real Work Lectures (KKN) for the July-December 2022 period. The KKN program was held from 4 July to 18 August 2022 and raised the theme Precision Village Data (DDP). The location of the KKN is in Banyuanyar Village, Ampel District, Boyolali Regency. The UNS-IPB DDP KKN activity in Banyuanyar Village was attended by two groups with a total of 26 students.

KKN DDP UNS-IPB students brought the DPP program to create village data that has a high level of accuracy. This is because the data polemics that still often occur today have resulted in village development that is not on target.

The DDP program is a series of activities to produce data that has a high level of accuracy and accuracy to provide an overview of the actual village conditions. The data is taken, validated, and verified by villagers assisted by parties outside the village, such as youth who are experts in technology (IT).

DDP is obtained using the Drone Participatory Mapping (DPM) approach, an inclusive approach that places the relationship between humans and technology to collect DDP by considering spatial dimensions, digital technology, citizen participation, and the census.

“After taking data in the form of images or aerial photos using drones, verification of the boundaries of Banyuanyar Village and the boundaries of RT and RW with village officials is carried out. After the map is declared valid, it is then laid out to create a work map using the Acrgissoft application. The work map is used by the social team to conduct a census through the Merdesa application,” said Salsabilla Aliyah, one of the Spatial teams.

But before that, Indah Wahyuningsih as the social team said that there had been training and socialization to the enumerators prior to the census. The census survey contains several indicators regarding data on clothing, housing, food, health, employment, and social security as well as the social life of the residents of Banyuanyar Village. The data of all Banyuanyar villagers will be included in the Merdesa application. The development of the Merdesa application continues to be carried out in order to create even better applications.

“The survey conducted by the social team was assisted by enumerators. Before the enumerators took part in conducting census activities, training and socialization were held at the Banyuanyar Village Hall. The training was held to provide an understanding of Precise Village Data retrieval using the Merdesa application which was created by IPB. This application can be accessed through each enumerator’s cell phone. During the census, the enumerators were accompanied by UNS-IPB KKN DDP students,” said Indah Wahyuningsih.

Indah Wahyuningsih also said that the Monograph Book which was the output of the UNS-IPB DDP KKN contains complete and accurate information regarding the geographical condition of the village, village demographics, processed census data, as well as qualitative descriptive data from a village such as village history plots, venn diagrams, trees. issues, and season calendars. The history of the village is to find out the changes and impacts experienced for Banyuanyar Village. The venn diagram contains the diversity of institutions or organizations in Banyuanyar Village and their influence on the community. In the book there is also a problem tree data containing the root problems that are happening in Banyuanyar Village. The last is the Stratification and Social Mobility Data to find out the local poverty line and the factors causing social mobilization.

In its progress, the population census can be completed completely with the support of enumerators and the local community who have successfully input 339 Family Cards (KK). The process took about one month, spending 15 days on the spatial team working on it and 15 days on going directly to the field to conduct a census with the enumerators. The convenience obtained in completing the census cannot be separated from the enumerator qualifications required by local RT youth who know the characteristics of the surrounding environment, such as informing students that several houses are uninhabited or have been used.

The head of group 8 KKN DDP UNS-IPB, Fauzan Subandono, said this program will produce outputs in the form of five basic maps, and a monograph book of Banyuanyar Village. Meanwhile, five basic maps were made, namely administrative maps, land use maps, orthophoto maps, topographic maps, and infrastructure maps of Banyuanyar Village.

The final result of this census, the UNS-IPB DDP KKN team hopes that the sustainability of the Data Precision Village KKN can expand to various regions in Indonesia. The community and students who have attended training and went directly to the field to conduct a census are expected to be able to transmit knowledge to other village communities. For the realization of equitable and maximum village development throughout Central Java, especially the Boyolali area.

“The output during this KKN, hopefully, can be a reference for the government in determining policy directions for rural communities, especially Banyuanyar Village. Through the Precision Village Data program, it is hoped that it can help end polemics and make village development more targeted and policy formulation more focused, “said Fauzan Subandono.

The Head of Banyuanyar Village gave a positive response to the performance results of the UNS and IPB KKN teams by involving enumerators. He hopes that the presence of DDP KKN can make Banyuanyar Village a data-based village. Thus, the name Banyuanyar can be known by the wider community.

A warm welcome from local residents was received by UNS and IPB students. This can be seen from the involvement of residents in various series of training events provided by students. People with high enthusiasm are willing to take their time to attend the village hall to learn the mechanism for inputting data into the Merdesa application, answer any questions asked, tell in detail the existing socio-cultural conditions, and facilitate computers to facilitate student performance.

On the other hand, several community leaders who are members of the youth organization often invite students to be involved in village activities such as during Eid al-Adha, some students are included in committees for distributing and slaughtering sacrificial animals, attending weekly recitations, and so on. The benefits provided are not only from the results of precision data, but the contributions of students in various village agendas can also be felt by the local community.
