FKIP — Carving Event Sociology or commonly known as Carvenos 2022 held a national webinar with the theme “Strategy for Creating a Cultured Superior Generation”. The event, which was attended by high school/Madrasal Aliyah (SMA/MA) students throughout Indonesia, was held online via Zoom Meeting on Sunday (10/30/2022). The webinar hosted by Seli Karisma presented Berlian Verlino as the 1st winner of Mas Central Java 2019 and Asyif Awaludin Romadhoni as the Central Java Language Ambassador as speakers.
Carvenos is a multi-event organized by the Sociology Anthropology Education Student Association (Himadiksan) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta with the theme “Together Become Creative With The Surrounding Culture of Nusantara”. Aims to improve the branding quality of SMA/MA students to become prospective young sociologists who are superior and with character, appreciate the best talents in Sociology subjects, and train critical thinking in expressing ideas and ideas in the form of scientific writing. The events in Carvenos 2022 include the 1st National Sociology Olympiad, the National Youth Creative Ideas Competition, and the National Webinar.
In this webinar, Berlian Verlino as the first speaker presented a material entitled “The Cultured Young Ones”. According to him, the current young generation tends to be adaptive to change or more open-minded, because the key is the more digital the more personal, the more digital the more professional, and the more digital the more global. He gave an example of Ariel Tatum’s appearance in Paris Fashion Week who wore the songket from Aceh “Tara Gemilang” by designer Didiet Maulana who has gone international.
According to Verlino, supporting the young generation to be cultured can be done through character education and teaching that increases achievements, actions, and contributions. This means that education is an empowerment of human resources, so that it can give birth to intellectual students. He also mentioned that the readiness of technology in Indonesia in education has begun to increase due to the pandemic in recent years, thus requiring everyone to learn about the digital world.
“Because in the last few years Indonesia has experienced a pandemic, it requires someone to be able to learn the digital world. Continue to use technology and develop innovation. For HR readiness, you must believe in yourself, push yourself in completing tasks and obligations. In addition, the important thing is adaptive, we must be willing to try as many efforts as possible to achieve the goal,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Asyif as the second speaker discussed millennials who are moved, moved, and mobilized for national cultured education. He also conveyed about the role of the younger generation in building competence in the long term in the field of education in the industrial era 5.0 and in facing the 2030 demographic bonus. and have the courage to take risks.
“It can’t be instant, the results that have been taught will not be used. When talking about this, young people must be able to project and have the courage to take risks. We can reach the potential we need today, namely analyzing data, for example in critical thinking. when reading we will get a new inside and we must also dare to predict and project what skills are needed. Then the second is collaboration or communication skills, using existing courses to project ourselves, “he explained.
