FKIP – Faculty of Teaching and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta receives a visit from FKIP Muhammadiyah University of Gorontalo (UMGO) ) took place in Meeting Room I of the Soemarno Building FKIP UNS on Wednesday (21/11/2022). The visit was in the context of carrying out the cooperation agreement on the implementation of higher education/university or the Tri Dharma of Higher Education whose main duties are to organize education and teaching, research and community service, and mutual assistance with the principle of mutual benefit.

This activity was attended by the Chancellor of UMGO, Deputy Chancellor of UMGO, Dean of FKIP UMGO, and the leadership of FKIP UMGO along with lecturers and staff. Besides that, the Dean of FKIP UNS, Deputy Dean of FKIP UNS, administration leaders, lecturers, and staff of FKIP UNS were also present.

UMGO Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abd. Kadim Masaong, M.Pd. explained that this activity was the first step for the progress of UNS and UMGO with the agreement on the Three Pillars of Higher Education collaboration between FKIP UNS and FKIP UMGO.

“With the Higher Education Tri Dharma agreement, this is the first step in advancing UMGO and UNS, especially FKIP UMGO and FKIP UNS, so that in the future it is hoped that many activities can be carried out and developed in other forms of cooperation to realize university and faculty progress. superior and of better quality,” explained Prof. Dr. Abd. Kadim Masaong, M.Pd.

Dean of FKIP UNS Dr. Mardiyana M.Sc. in his speech conveyed the profile, vision, and mission as well as a glimpse of FKIP UNS.

“FKIP UNS has several leaders with their respective duties and responsibilities. First, there is Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Sc. who serves as Deputy Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs. Next is Dr. Dewi Kusuma Wardani, M.Sc., as Deputy Dean for HR, Finance, and Logistics. Then there’s Dr. Djono, M.Pd., who serves as Deputy Dean for Planning, Business Cooperation, and Information. Then Yunanto, ST, M.Sc. served as Administrative Coordinator, Mila Purani Sistiyan, SE, MM, served as Sub-Coordinator Academic Sub-Coordinator Non-AcademicMardiyana.

Further Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc. also explained that in FKIP UNS there are 48 study programs including 5 Doctoral Study Programs, 17 Masters Study Programs, 25 Undergraduate Study Programs, as well as the Teacher Professional Education Programs (PPG) in which there are 24 fields of study. Besides that, FKIP UNS also has work units which include the Education Development Center (EDC), International Office Unit (IO), Journal Unit, Quality Assurance Unit, Research and Community Service Coordinator of FKIP UNS (KPPMF), School Field Introduction Unit, Faculty Business Management Agency (BPUF), Student Affairs Unit, and many others that are adjusted to the fields formed.

Next Dr. Mardiyana said that the collaboration that was established was a very good form of activity to support each other and become better together in the future. It is hoped that this collaborative activity will run well and be beneficial for FKIP UNS and FKIP UMGO.

“We hope that the cooperation that has been agreed upon can run and be carried out properly. It’s not just written, but it can be implemented correctly and well, so hopefully it can provide mutual benefits and make FKIP UNS and FKIP UMGO even UNS and UMGO more advanced and better in the future, “added Dr. Mardiyana.

Furthermore, the Dean of FKIP UMGO Dr. Abd. Hamid Isa, M.Pd., in his speech said that this activity was the first cooperation agreement between FKIP UNS and FKIP UMGO.

“This activity is the first agreement between FKIP UMGO and FKIP UNS, so it is hoped that the Tri Dharma College cooperation can be carried out well and can open other collaborations for mutual progress,” said Dr. Abd. Hamid.

At the end of his speech, Dr. Abd. Hamid hopes to collaborate with FKIP UNS in other matters.

“We hope that in the future other forms of cooperation can be developed such as joint research, collaboration, and participating in other collaborations under the direction of FKIP UNS,” added Dr. Abd. Hamid.
