FKIP — Students of the Sociology Anthropology Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta successfully won 3rd place in the Microteaching Competition held by the Indonesian Association of Sociological Anthropological Education Study Programs (APPSANTI) in Ganesha University of Education, Singaraja, Bali on Friday (28/10/2022). She is Meita Indah Setyaputri.

Contacted by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Sunday (20/11/2022), Meita expressed her gratitude for this achievement. She also thanked all those who supported her.

“I feel very grateful and proud because I can be a student representative who brings the name UNS to Bali with opponents from various universities in Indonesia. I also feel delighted because I can experience a vacation to Bali but still bring achievements. Of course, I would like to thank the people who have supported me, such as my family, friends, and those closest to me. Not to forget the lecturers of Anthropology Sociology Education who have imparted their knowledge to me, especially to the Head of Study Program, Dr.rer.nat. Nurhadi, S. Ant., M. Hum. who have fully supported me in this competition,” said Meita.

Meita also explained that this competition consisted of three stages of selection, namely study program level selection, finalist selection, and the final round. In the preliminary round, Meita used social interaction material, while in the final she used social change material. Both of these materials are related to social reality in society with an assessment focus on the stages of teaching and the creativity of learning media.

Meita revealed that this achievement was a benchmark for her abilities. According to her, a person will not know the level of ability that he has if he does not dare to try to do something that will bring benefits.

“From this achievement, I learned that we will never know how far we are capable if we don’t dare to try. Even though at first I was doubtful, when it is indeed good and useful, it must be fought for as a form of quality and quantity in trying to achieve what we hope for, “said Meita.

At the end of the interview session, Meita advised to always pray and try. She asked not to stop trying because the world is full of opportunities and luck.

“Destiny belongs to Allah, but the effort and prayer are ours. Come on, don’t stop trying because the world is full of opportunities and luck that we won’t find on the other side of the land, but under our own feet. Keep the spirit!” Meita ordered.
