Study Program Doctoral (S-3) Natural Science Education (IPA) Faculty Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a visit professor_ with the theme “The PISA 2025 Science Framework: Perspectives from Science Expert Group Members” on Thursday (10/11/2022). This activity was held online through the Zoom Meeting application.

This activity was carried out by S-3 FKIP UNS in collaboration with the Indonesian Chemical Association, especially in the Field of Education and Teaching Development. Head of Study Program (Kaprodi) S-3 Science Education, Prof. Sulistyo Saputro, M.Sc., Ph.D., currently serves as Chair of the Education and Teaching Sector at the 2022 Indonesian Chemical Association Center (PP HKI).

Also attending this activity was the Management of HKI Education and Teaching, namely Yuli Rahmawati, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Dr. Rr. Lies Permanasari, M.Sc. This activity was attended by 122 students, lecturers, heads of study programs for S1/S2/S3 Science Education, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics Education, and several Deans of FMIPA/FKIP from various State and Private Universities throughout Indonesia.

The activity began with remarks made by Prof. Sulistyo. In his remarks, he explained that visiting professor_ is one of the scientific activities carried out by the S-3 Science Education Study Program FKIP UNS routinely every year to support the UNS program towards a world-class university.

“ visiting professor is an annual routine activity of the Doctoral Science Education FKIP UNS. This activity is one of the various scientific activities organized by Doctoral FKIP UNS as well as supporting the internationalization program of Sebelas Maret University towards a world-class university in the not-too-distant future,” explained Prof. Sulistyo.

Then, the activity was opened directly by Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc. as Dean of FKIP UNS. After opening, the activity continued with a material presentation session. In the visiting professor Program, Doctoral presented 2 speakers. The first resource person was Prof. Russell Tytler. He is the Chair of Science Education at Deakin University, Australia. Meanwhile, the second resource person in this activity was Dr. Peta White who is a Lecturer in Science Education at Deakin University, Australia.

After the material presented was finished, the activity continued with a question and answer discussion session and closed with session joint documentation
