FKIP – The Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held an offline 2022 Pre-service PPG Student Academic Orientation in the Hall of Building F FKIP UNS on Thursday (8/12/2022).
In this academic orientation, the Head of the Teacher Professional Education Study Program (PPG), namely Dr. AG Tamrin, M.Pd., who was represented by Dr. Sukarno, M.Pd., presented a report and introduction.
“There are 12 Pre-service PPG Batch II study programs which will later be placed on the Kleco Campus and some in Kentingan,” he explained.
This orientation activity was opened directly by Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., as Dean of FKIP UNS.

“The hope is that later with so many PPG participating students, students can still be facilitated, can study well, and end well. That means, graduate and can attend lectures,” he explained.
The orientation was continued with the presentation of material regarding the general description of the PPG Pre-service Batch 2 of 2022 by Dr. Budi Waluyo, M.Pd.
“Pre-service PPG creates a new generation of Indonesian teachers, namely novice teachers who practice Pancasila values, master basic teacher competencies, are primarily student-oriented and learner learning, committed to being role models and lifelong learners, and have the basics of leadership,” he explained.
The second presentation was delivered by Dr. Idam Ragil Widianto Atmojo, S.Pd., M.Si. In his presentation, he conveyed the learning orientation of the PPL Subject (Practice of Field Experience).
“PPL is an activity for PPG participant students to practice their abilities in learning at partner schools. The PPL assessment focuses on student’s abilities to reflect on their teaching practices,” he explained.
The third material presentation discussed the learning orientation of the leadership project course. The presentation was delivered by Dr. Sri Santoso Sabarini, S.Pd., M.Or., and Dr. Riezky Maya Probosari, S.Si., M.Si.
“The flow of leadership project 1 activities begins with the vision of a professional teacher, mapping the challenges and strengths of the school, and so on up to UAS,” explained Dr. Sri Santoso.
Dr. Riezky added that Leadership Project II provided an opportunity for each group to review and implement the project plans that had been made in Leadership Project I.
Next is explained about the learning orientation of the PPG Seminar Course. The presentation was delivered by Dr. Anayanti Rahmawati, S.Psi., Psi., MA, and Dr. Rusnaini, M.Sc.
“The PPG seminar course is a course that facilitates students in improving their ability to reflect logically, critically, and systematically on learning processes and outcomes while attending PPG,” explained Dr. Anayanti.
Dr. Rusnaini added that the PPG seminar assessment came from 50% e-portfolio, 30% final semester exams, and 20% attitude.
The fifth material presentation was delivered by the IT Admin regarding the LMS Explanation.
“LMS activities include student attendance lists, discussion forums, content pages, page URLs, questionnaires, assignments/bills, and ou blogs,” he explained.
The orientation ends with a question and answer
session of 3 terms.
