The Festive Edufest 2022, From Contest, Creation, and Appreciation

FKIP — Sunday (4/12/2022) in the Hall of Building F FKIP UNS 3rd floor, the Student Executive Body (BEM) of the Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held the closing activity of the Educational Festival (Edufest) 2022.

Edufest 2022 is one of the work programs under the auspices of the Ministry of Collaboration and Student Work of BEM FKIP UNS 2022. The aim of this activity is to reflect students’ interests and talents as well as appreciation for the achievements that have been achieved, especially for FKIP UNS students. Edufest consists of several series of events, namely competitions, creations, and appreciation.

The activity was opened directly by the Deputy Dean of Human Resources, Finance and Logistics FKIP UNS, Dr. Dewi Kusuma Wardani, M.Sc. In his remarks, he said that this activity could be a place for students to excel.

“This activity is in synergy or in harmony with one of the FKIP UNS programs, which is to provide a place for students to excel both academically and non-academically. With the existence of a forum for achievement, it is hoped that students can develop their potential and talents and bring the good name of their institution. FKIP UNS continues to be committed to providing supporting facilities for activities at FKIP UNS,” said Dr. Dewi.

On another occasion, Rizka Aulia Putri, who is Deputy Chairperson of Edufest 2022, conveyed an overview of Edufest 2022 activities. She said that in general, Edufest 2022 activities are composed of 3 series of events, namely competition, creation and appreciation.

There are 2 types of competitions in the Edufest 2022 activities. The first competition is an internal competition that FKIP UNS students can participate in, namely futsal, badminton, and FKIP the voice. essay.

Rizka also explained that the creation and appreciation activities were carried out at the closing of Edufest 2022. The creations were packaged in the form of art performances by FKIP UNS students, while the appreciation was packaged in the form of giving awards to FKIP UNS students and the Student Association at FKIP UNS for their achievements.

“The creations here are art performances by FKIP UNS students. Meanwhile, the performances included 2D and 3D art exhibitions, modern dance, band groups, stand up comedy, and solo vocals by the winners of the FKIP the voice competition. Then for appreciation is the awarding of awards to students and the Student Association at FKIP UNS for their achievements. The appreciation consists of 4 categories, namely Outstanding Students, UNS Ambassadors, students with academic and non-academic achievements, and the best HMP,” explained Rizka when contacted by the Journalist Team fkip.uns.ac.id on Wednesday (28/12/2022).

At the end of the interview session, Rizka expressed her hopes for holding Edufest next year.

“We hope that in the future this event will be even more exciting, more creative, and more innovative. Hopefully Edufest can become an annual event at FKIP UNS that has been eagerly awaited as a forum for students to develop and channel their talents and interests and improve friendship between study programs at FKIP UNS,” hoped Rizka.
