FKIP – Study Program Masters (S-2) Indonesian Language Education (PBI) and Bachelor (S-1) Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI) collaborated in holding Scientific Article Writing Training on Monday (20/3/2023) ). The training was held offline in the Hall of Building G, Floor 3, FKIP UNS.
The training was opened directly by the Deputy Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs of FKIP UNS, Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Sc. In his remarks, he said this training was a broad space for mutual learning facilitated by the S-1 PBSI and S-2 PBI FKIP UNS Study Programs. Furthermore, he also advised the trainees to cultivate research and writing.
“One word that students in competition must achieve is to win. To achieve these words, students need a wheel called research and writing. Each policy is taken based on research. Research and writing is not an easy job and is a culture of the active language. There is systematization and content that becomes a challenge and opportunity for students. So, leap the standard that has been determined. Create an excellent curriculum vitae from research and writing!” message Prof. Slamet.
Moderated by Dasa Oktaviani and Iqbal Syahrul Akbar Al Aziz, students of the PBI Masters Program FKIP UNS, this training presented 2 speakers. The first speakers was Dr. Memet Sudaryanto, M.Pd. He is a Lecturer in the PBI Undergraduate Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Studies, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto.
In his presentation, he explained material entitled “Some Things that are often Missed in Writing Articles”. He started the material by explaining 8 important things in writing. Furthermore, he also explained the rules for writing each section of the article.
“There are 8 overviews or important things that must be considered before writing, namely determining the latest and most recent topics, reviewing the journals to go to, minimizing manuscript similarities, using Mendeley-Zotero to facilitate the citation process, don’t hesitate to conduct inter-chapter studies, modifications are an update of in terms of ideas, backgrounds, studies, and the latest methods, complex topics of complex methods, and simple topics of complex methods,” explained Dr. Memet.
The second speakers is Dr. Evi Chamalah, M.Pd. He is a Lecturer in the PBSI S-1 Study Program, FKIP, Sultan Agung Islamic University (Unissula) Semarang. She presented material entitled “Results of Article Review and Submit Simulation”. In this material, she demonstrated the process of submitting articles to Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Unissula’s Journal.
After the material presentation, the training continued with a question and answer session and ended with a documentation session.
