FKIP – In commemoration of UNS’s 47th Anniversary, the Faculty of Teaching and Education, Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta, held the FKIP UNS Cultural Arts Festival on Thursday (17/3/2023). In the Hall of Building F FKIP UNS, this art festival carries the theme “Knitting Creativity, Building Innovation Towards Golden Indonesia”. This festival can also be watched via live broadcasts on the Semar TV Youtube account.

The festival was hosted by Putriana Dafa Puspitawati from the Surakarta Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program and Sita Nuraseh from the Javanese Language Education Study Program FKIP UNS. The festival began with a speech by the Head of the UNS 47th Anniversary Organized by FKIP UNS, Dr. Djono, M.Pd. He is also the Deputy Dean of Planning, Business Cooperation, and Information. In his remarks, he said that FKIP UNS is committed to revitalizing and preserving arts and culture through student activity units or UKM at FKIP UNS.

“Cultural Arts Festival FKIP UNS is an implementation of the vision of FKIP UNS as a center for developing science, education, and teacher training based or based on national culture. FKIP UNS is committed to revitalizing and preserving arts and culture through student activity units or UKM FKIP UNS. This UKM is a place for student activities at FKIP UNS to create cultured and professional teachers,” said Dr. Djono.

The speech was also given by Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc. as the Dean of FKIP UNS who also opened the art festival. He expressed the purpose of holding this art festival in his speech.

“The purpose of holding the FKIP UNS Cultural Arts Festival is to celebrate the 47th UNS Anniversary. However, more than that, this activity is also a place to foster friendship and togetherness among FKIP UNS academics. Furthermore, we hope this activity will become a forum for arts and culture activists at FKIP UNS to showcase their abilities in processing arts and culture,” said Dr. Mardiyana.

In this festival, FKIP UNS collaborated with art and culture people and UKM-UKM in FKIP UNS to showcase their abilities and skills. The first performers were the Karawitan Team and the PGSD Surakarta Keroncong Team, FKIP UNS. They performed several songs to accompany the conditioning process for the art festival participants. The songs they performed included Kebo Giro, Rangkaian Melati, Teteg Ati, Manyar Sewu, Gugur Gunung, Lungiting Asmara, Mawar Sekuntum, Aryati, and Sewu Kuto.

The second performer was a student from the Surakarta Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (Prodi) named Muhammad Ikram Hanafi. He performed stand-up comedy and told stories about his life while studying at FKIP UNS. The third performer was the Single Organ Team from FKIP UNS Special Education Study Program (PLB) who sang 2 songs, Perahu Kertas and Asmaralibrasi.

The fourth performer is a student from English Education named Ziva Valentina who performed a vocal solo with a song called Reflection. The fifth performer was the Dance Team from the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Study Program (PG PAUD) FKIP UNS, which performed a Kebyok Anting-Anting Dance.

Then, the sixth performer was the PBJ FKIP UNS Student Team with javapella performances. The performance was followed by a vocal solo by a PGSD Kebumen Study Program student, Julia Dwi, who sang the song Bahasa Kalbu and the Vox Magistra FKIP UNS Choir Team.

The next performance was a collaborative work entitled “Diponegoro” by the FKIP UNS Regional Arts Development Unit (UPKD) team and a poetry musical by the FKIP UNS Peron Theater Team. Finally, the Cultural Arts Festival FKIP UNS 2023 was closed with the performance of the PGSD Surakarta FKIP UNS Keroncong Team.
