FKIP – Master Study Program (S-2) of Geography Education Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta carried out a Field Assessment of the Accreditation Independent Accreditation Institute for Education (LAMDIK) in the 3rd Floor Hall of Building G of the FKIP UNS Postgraduate Program for two days on Friday (31/3/2023) to Saturday (1/4/2023). The LAMDIK assessors on duty included Prof. Dr. Sumarmi, M.Pd. from Malang State University and Dr. Muhammad Nursa’ban, S.Pd., M.Pd. from Yogyakarta State University.

The field assessment activity was attended by the Leadership, Quality Assurance Unit, Quality Control Group, Related Team from the Geography Education Study Program, FKIP UNS, and other supporting elements.

Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., the Dean of FKIP UNS, in his speech said that the field assessment is one of the stages in the accreditation process which aims to verify, validate and clarify the data and information written in the Self Evaluation Report that has been sent and conduct a field assessment in Geography Education S-2 Study Program. He added that this activity provides an assessment and direction on things that need to be improved in the accreditation process.

“So with that, we ask the assessors to be able to provide and show where the deficiencies are in us and can provide better directions for us,” added Dr. Mardiyana.

Next, Dr. Mardiyana hopes the accreditation process will run smoothly and get maximum results.

“We hope that this activity can run smoothly by showing all supporting evidence documents and providing maximum or superior results,” hoped Dr. Mardiyana.

Upon closing remarks, Dr. Mardiyana expressed his gratitude to the assessors who had attended FKIP UNS.

“On behalf of the faculty, we would like to welcome and thank all the assessors who took the time to be present during the busy schedule of the LAMDIK Accreditation Field Assessment for the Masters in Geography Education Study Program, FKIP UNS,” concluded Dr. Mardiyana.

Prof. Dr. Sumarmi, M.Pd., in his speech, said that all documents that have been sent to the LED could follow the document evidence shown.

“We hope that the LED files that have been sent can match the existing documents in the Geography Education Masters Program,” said Prof. Sumarni.

Dr. Muhammad Nursa’ban added that the LED files must be appropriate and can be shown during the accreditation process.

“We added that the LED files must be appropriate and can be shown when the accreditation process starts until the completion of the accreditation process,” said Dr. Mohammed.

After the welcoming session, the event continued with the LAMDIK Accreditation Field Assessment for the Masters in Geography Education Study Program FKIP UNS led directly by the assessor.
