FKIP – The Directorate of Education for the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) carries out monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the Knowledge Test (UP) PPG Student Competency Test (UKMPPG) for PPG students in Position Category I Batch II 2022 from Saturday to Sunday (24-25/6 /2023) in the Meeting Room of Building F, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta.

The In-service PPG Program is an educational program organized to prepare graduates of Bachelor of Education and Non-Educational Bachelor/D-IV who have talent and interest in becoming teachers so that they fully master teacher competence by Teacher Education Standards. The In-Service PPG Program is systematically designed and applies quality principles from selection, learning process, and assessment to competency testing.

In implementing UP UKMPPG PPG In Position for this period, 12 Educational Institutions for Education Personnel (LPTK) were involved as test venues. The twelve TTIs are Gorontalo State University, Jakarta State University, Makassar State University, Malang State University, Medan State University, Padang State University, Semarang State University, Surabaya State University, Yogyakarta State University, Ganesha University of Education, Indonesian University of Education, and Sebelas Maret University.

The implementation of UP UKMPPG PPG in the Position Category I Batch II 2022 at FKIP UNS which was divided into 2 sessions, was attended by 2,724 participants. The activity started at 07.30 WIB in the form of verification between KTPs, Exam Cards, videos of participants’ faces, and integrity pacts.

The facilities used by FKIP UNS in carrying out UP UKMPPG are 2 buildings as domicile-based online monitoring sites, namely Building A FKIP UNS and UPT ICT Building. Each building uses 2 computer laboratory rooms equipped with facilities and infrastructure in the form of an adequate number of computers, a smooth internet network, and generators. The supervisor’s room is also supported by good lighting and air conditioning.

Estiening Kesumawati, a monitoring officer from the PPG Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, said that the activity ran smoothly and was conducive.

“Even though there were system problems because the system could not accommodate participants logging in simultaneously because many people started the test simultaneously, the supervisor and helpdesk or IT team can help participants until participants can log in immediately. In addition, those who are indicated to be fraudulent are also taken action directly by the supervisor so that the implementation of UP UKMPPG runs smoothly,” said Esti.
