FKIP – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a blood donation social activity again on Tuesday (13/6/2023) in the Hall Room of Building F, 3rd floor of FKIP UNS. In this activity, the Dharma Wanita Association (DWP) Implementing Unit (UP) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UNS participated in the implementation of the activity in collaboration with DWP UNS, UNS Medical Center, UNS Volunteer Corps (KSR), and the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Surakarta City.

In his remarks, the Dean of FKIP UNS, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Sc., said that he appreciated the blood donation social activities that have been carried out regularly.

“Alhamdulillah, in June 2023, FKIP UNS had the opportunity to host this blood donation activity. This is an honor for us to participate in social activities held regularly by DWP UNS,” said Dr. Mardiyana.

Furthermore, Dr. Mardiyana said that this blood donation agenda is an activity that is very beneficial for the community because it will have a real impact, especially in providing benefits for people who need blood.

“This is a social activity that we need to support together. Thanks to all those who have supported this activity. This morning the number of participants who had registered offline was around 72 participants. Hopefully, all participants can meet the requirements and the number of participants, both offline and on the spot, can continue to grow,” added Dr. Mardiyana.

Meanwhile, UNS Chancellor represented by Plt. Vice Chancellor for General Affairs and Human Resources of UNS, Dr. E. Muhtar, S.Pd., M.Sc., CFrA, also expressed appreciation for never-ending blood donation activities.

“Hopefully, a drop of blood from what we donate can benefit those in need,” he hoped.

From the implementation of this blood donation activity, 66 blood bags were obtained. Meanwhile, the acquisition details are blood group A totaling 21 blood bags, B totaling 15 blood bags, O totaling 26 blood bags, and AB totaling 4 blood bags.
