“In this era or era, it is very important to take advantage of information technology-based things, especially in the education sector. Given the teacher’s role that cannot be replaced by information technology, teachers need cooperation with the latest information technology, “said Dr. Dewi.

Moderated by Dr. Chafit Ulya, M.Pd. as a Lecturer in the S-2 PBI FKIP UNS Study Program, the seminar presented a resource person. He is Dr. Eric Kunto Wibowo, S.S., M.A. He is an Ed Tech Coach at Widya Dharma Klaten University. He presented material entitled “Exploring the Potential of Technology in Education: Exploring TPACK and Digital Bloom’s Taxonomy”.

In this material, he explained five main points. The five points are TPACK as a 21st-century teacher competency, the differences between the past and present Bloom’s Taxonomy, learning about Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy, 24 supporting applications for Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy, and examples of applying Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy in learning. He explained that TPACK can assist educators in integrating technological knowledge with pedagogy and content or materials.

“According to Minta Mishra, TPACK can assist educators in integrating technological knowledge with pedagogical knowledge and content or material knowledge. By understanding TPACK, educators can develop effective learning strategies using technology by considering pedagogical aspects and content or materials more specifically,” explained Dr. Eric.

Furthermore, Dr. Eric emphasized that technology and digital devices are used to facilitate learning experiences and student outcomes, not just to make students master them.

“Remember this! Digital technologies and tools are used to facilitate learning experiences and student outcomes! The main focus is not on students who master digital technology or devices, but on how to use these devices to transform students’ way of thinking to a higher level,” emphasized Dr. Eric.

After the presentation of the material, the activity continued with a question and answer session and ended with a documentation session.
