FKIP – Study Program Building Engineering Education (PTB) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta built a partnership with PTB Study Program, Faculty of Engineering (FT) Semarang State University (UNNES) and PTB FKIP Nusa Cendana University (UNDANA), Kupang. The partnership began with the formulation of a cooperation program held on Wednesday (6/6/2023) in the Meeting Room Floor 1 of Campus V FKIP UNS, Pabelan, Surakarta.

This partnership is one of the efforts of PTB FKIP UNS to fulfill the Key Performance Indicators (IKU), one of which is the cooperation carried out by study programs. In addition, this partnership is also an effort to address higher education’s challenges, which are increasingly complex and require good cooperation between tertiary institutions, especially the demands of the Independent Campus and Independent Learning policies.

In his remarks, the Dean of FKIP UNS, who was represented by the Deputy Dean for HR, Finance, and Logistics of FKIP UNS, Dr. Dewi Kusuma Wardani, M.Sc. said that PTB FKIP UNS welcomed the arrival of PTB FT UNNES and PTB FKIP UNDANA Study Programs. He also supports the existence of partnerships that are built to build good relationships and collaboration.

“It is an honor for us that PTB UNNES and UNDANA are willing to visit and later will jointly formulate a collaborative program that will be carried out by PTB FKIP UNS Study Program with PTB FT UNNES Study Program and PTB FKIP UNS with PTB FKIP UNDANA,” said Dr. Dewi.

On the same occasion, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, FT UNNES, Aris Widodo, S.Pd., M.T. said that the PTB UNNES study program wanted to build genuine cooperation to support the Merdeka-Independence Learning Campus policy and other programs that could be aligned with the needs so that PTB FKIP UNS and PTB FT UNNES could complement each other. The programs that can be projected into this pilot collaboration include student exchanges, exchanges of lecturers teaching or testing thesis final assignments, or collaboration in the field of research and community service that can be collaborated.

The head of the FKIP UNDANA PTB Study Program conveyed the same thing that they were also committed to building a collaboration that would be followed up through the formulation of an implementation plan for collaboration between the PTB FKIP UNS study program and the PTB FKIP UNDANA study program. These two study programs will also build cooperation that can mutually support the achievement of study program performance indicators that align with tertiary institutions’ leading performance indicators.
