FKIP – Geography Education Student Association (Himago) Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a Hamlet Partner activity in Gebung Hamlet, Patihan, Sragen on Thursday (19/8/2021).
This offline activity is a routine work program from the Himago Public Relations field which is carried out once in one management period. This activity aims to help the community to overcome social, economic, and educational problems.
The activity with the theme of responding to Covid-19 consists of various activities in it. Meanwhile, activities carried out in partner hamlets include social services, socialization of 5M, distributing masks, and distributing social assistance to families affected by Covid, especially elderly families.
Dio Sebastian Wisanggoro as chairman of the Himago Partner Hamlet committee said that this activity had involved the core committee of Himago, volunteer participants from the public, and the people of Gebung Hamlet.
“Aside from the core committee of Himago FKIP UNS members, we also recruit volunteers from various parties, some from one department and outside the department, yesterday some from outside the faculty,” he explained.
With the implementation of this activity, Dio hopes that it can be useful not only for himself but also for the people in Gebung Hamlet.
“Hopefully with the help we provide, the burden of life felt by the people in the partner hamlets can lighten even a little bit. Hopefully with our activities, we can educate the people there, especially related to the theme we are carrying,” said Dio.
