FKIP – Lecturers of the Chemistry Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta who are members of the Natural Products Research Group, Molecular Engineering, and Chemistry Learning organize Life Skills Training for Islamic Boarding School Employees through Diesel Oil Entrepreneurship Training and Herbal Bath Soap.

This training was carried out by Dr.rer.nat. Sri Mulyani as chairman, with members Dr. Endang Susilowati; Dr. Elvi Susanti VH; Dr. Sri Retno Dwi Ariani; and Lina Mahaardiani, Ph.D. The event was held in stages over five days, namely August 31, 2021, to September 4, 2021. The

The training was held in the meeting room of the Pondok Putri Imam Syuhodo Islamic Boarding School, on Jalan KH. Ahmad Dahlan No. 154, Blimbing, Wonorejo, Polokarto, Sukoharjo, Central Java. In its implementation, the activity was opened by the Leader of the Imam Syuhodo Islamic Boarding School, H. Sholahuddin Sirizar, Lc. MA. This training was attended by 14 young ustazah with an age range ranging from 17 years to 32 years.

This activity was welcomed by the leaders of the Islamic boarding school and the ustazah who were the participants. Sri as the team leader conveyed the purpose of this training.

“The purpose of this activity is to utilize used cooking oil which is waste and the daily production reaches 4-5 liters so that it becomes a commodity that can be used,” said Sri when met by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Friday (11/26/2021). ).

Participants were given counseling on entrepreneurship theory and home-based business opportunities, the basic principles of soap and diesel oil production from used cooking oil, packaging, and product marketing.

In addition, participants were given the training to make bath soap from used cooking oil that was clarified. Then, participants were given knowledge of how to package the soap.

When met, Sri expressed what she hoped for from the training she led.

“It is hoped that from this activity the young ustazah will be able to optimally use their free time to produce and become entrepreneurs so that they can increase their income,” Sri explained.

The participants were enthusiastic about participating in the series of activities and had a great desire to produce large quantities to be marketed. With this business, Imam Syuhodo Islamic Boarding School can have a productive and creative business that can bring profits.
