FKIP – Kharisma Nuril Adha, a student of the Fine Arts Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta won 3rd place in a painting competition in the Science, Technology, and Student Actualization Week event (PESTA) Online Jakarta State University (UNJ).
This event was held online organized by UNJ. There were two levels of competition, namely international and national competitions. The international level includes the UNJ Virtual Pencak Silat Championship and UNJ Cup X International Karate Championship Open and Festival while the national level consists of 20 competitions, one of which is painting with the theme “Independence in a Pandemic”.
The competition was held online by submitting a handmade 2D painting according to the theme specified through photo evidence of the work and a statement of authenticity of the work on the link provided. The competition started from the registration and collection stages, continues with the judging stage, and ends with an announcement held on Thursday (28/10/2021).

Kharisma shared the atmosphere she felt when the competition took place even though the competition was held online.
“The competition was held online, of course it is more convenient in the process of working on the work. I also feel a little excited because the concept of my work and the work on my painting is tight, but thank God it was finished on time,” said Kharisma when met by the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Friday (17/12/2021).
Then, Kharisma conveyed the impression she got when she was declared 3rd place in the competition he participated in.
“Alhamdulillah and of course, I didn’t expect it, my painting still got a place in the 3rd place. At the time of the announcement of the winner on October 28, I didn’t even attend Zoom or Youtube live because I forgot the announcement date. Only the next day I remembered and immediately checked UNJ’s YouTube, it turned out that my name was included in the 3rd place in the painting competition, ” Kharisma explained.
At the end, Kharisma conveyed the hopes she wanted to achieve for the future.
“Hopefully in the future, all the targets that I have made can be achieved and can be implemented properly. Hopefully, I can continue to get better achievements in painting competitions and other competitions, “ Kharisma concluded.
