FKIP – The Chemical Education Study Program Student Association (HMP Kovalen) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held the peak activity of the Scientific Work Club (KKI) #4 on Sunday (12/19/2021). With the theme “Millennial Generation’s New Breakthrough Through Writing To Develop Softskills in the Era of Society 5.0”, the activity was held online through the Zoom Meeting application.

KKI #4 itself is a follow-up to KKI #3 which is technically carried out by delivering material and asking questions. Meanwhile, the material presented at KKI #3 was procedures and tips for writing good essays. So, KKI #4 is an actual action or application of the material. This means that the KKI #4 participants are invited to practice writing essays with a theme that has been determined by the committee.

The peak activity of KKI #4 presented two judges. The first jury was Agung Nugroho Catur Saputro, S.Pd., M.Sc, while the second jury was Lina Mahaardiani, ST, MM, M.Sc., Ph.D. Both are Lecturers of the Chemistry Education Study Program, FKIP UNS.

A total of 4 finalists presented their scientific work in KKI #4 activity. Each participant is given 30 minutes with details of 15 minutes for presentations and 15 minutes for questions and answers. The 1st place winner in the KKI #4 activity was by Febi Gustiarni wonNashanda with a score of 1763, while the 2nd place was won by Sawiji Lestari with a score of 1713.25. Meanwhile, the best presentation category was obtained by Febi Gustiarni Nashanda with a score of 1837.5.

Galuh Maharani as the head of the KKI #4 committee hopes that this activity can increase student enthusiasm, especially for Chemistry Education Study Program students to continue working in the writing field.

“I hope that through this KKI 4 activity, it can increase the enthusiasm of students, especially from the Chemistry Education Study Program to continue working in the writing field. With this activity, they can continue and apply the writing materials that have been given at the KKI 1-4 event in other scientific work events,” Galuh hoped via WhatsApp message on Monday (12/27/2021).
