FKIP – Brahmahardhika Nature Lovers Student Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta together with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) held a Blood Donation with the theme “A Drop of Blood of a Million Hopes” on Friday (12/24/2021).

Muhammad Iqbal, chairman of Brahmahardhika, said that this blood donation activity is a routine program that is held once every three months but has only been implemented due to the Covid pandemic. The activity, which was held as a form of community service, was carried out in the Lobby of Building D FKIP UNS by implementing health protocols.

“As a form of our service to the community. This blood donation is the first blood donation activity from Brahmahardhika in the 2021/2022 management period,” said Iqbal.

Furthermore, Iqbal said that the participants who could donate blood were the general public around UNS which according to PMI included the criteria for being a donor.

“For those who donate their blood, it is allowed from the general public, whether it’s from the FKIP community such as students, lecturers, employees, staff, and the general public who want to donate blood,”

Iqbal hopes that the implementation of this blood donation activity will be able to open people’s hearts for more care for each other.

“Hopefully the community will be more open-minded or maybe they can care more about each other that there are still many people out there who need us, one of them is through this blood donation,” he said.
