FKIP – Students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta won 3rd place in the National Photography Competition held by the Rajawali Health Institute, Bandung. Meanwhile, the student who won the competition was Bhian Cahya Wisudawan Rubiyanto.

This competition was held online on Thursday-Sunday (13-23/12/2022) with the theme “Health Our World is Begin from Ourself.” This theme was carried out in commemoration of the Day of the Million Trees Movement. In this competition, Bhian presented a photographic work entitled “The Importance of Teaching Children to Plant Trees.”

The reason for choosing the title was the importance of cultivating children’s love for the environment. According to Bhian, this can be done by inviting children to plant trees. This will foster children’s love for the earth.

“The photography work entitled ‘The Importance of Teaching Children to Plant Trees’ was intended to teach today’s children to love the environment. The mindset of loving the environment can be formed in children. One way is to teach them to plant trees. With a fun way to plant a tree, children will love the earth in their own way. They will also get used to loving the environment and apply it until they grow up,” explained Bhian Cahya in an interview with the fkip.uns.ac.id team.
Bhian also explained how he felt about winning this competition.

“Alhamdulillah, I am grateful that at the beginning of 2022 we have achieved national level achievements. From hobby to achievement. My hobby is photography and videography. Actually, this is not the first time I have won national level champions in the field of photography and videography. Previously, I have won many national level champions,” continued Bhian.

At the end of the interview, Bhian expressed his hopes for the future.

“Hopefully it will be a good start and encouragement to continue to achieve further achievements,” concluded Bhian.
