FKIP – Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta students should be proud, because their students managed to make international achievements, namely getting a silver medal in the Indonesia International Applied Science Project Olympiad which was followed online on Saturday-Wednesday (11-15/12/2011). 2021). Meanwhile, the students who won the competition were Ahmad Rifki Hardiansyah (Guidance and Counseling/2018), Enny Bogy Apriliani (Guidance and Counseling/2020), Lesta Nurman Sadari (Guidance and Counseling/2020), Rani Mar’atul Chamidah (Guidance and Counseling) Counseling/2020), and Salsabila (Psychology/2020).

This activity was organized by the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA) in collaboration with the Actuarial Department of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS). Participated by 410 participants from 14 countries, this activity is intended to accommodate the ideas and innovations of young researchers. Ahmad Rifki, the leader of the winning team, said that this activity lasted quite a long time, including registration, file collection, preparation of prototypes, and presentations in front of the jury.

“The competition includes registration and file collection. Then, the preparation of a research-based prototype which will then be presented to an international jury (India),” explained Rifki, in an interview with tin fkip.uns.ac.id on Thursday (27/01/2022).

Rifki also shared his team’s work in this competition, namely Bibliotherapy. This bibliotherapy is intended to improve environmental mastery for blind children.

“The work we bring in this competition is about Bibliotherapy. This bibliotherapy is useful to improve environmental mastery which is part of psychological well-being for blind children. So, we hope, through this work, blind children can become whole individuals who are able to manage their environment optimally,” said Rifki.

At the end of the interview, Rifki conveyed his impression of winning this competition and his hopes for the future.

“The impression of winning this competition is very meaningful because here, I learned a lot from the judges’ input, as well as seeing other people’s research work. The hope is that in the future we can work again and make UNS proud,” Rifki concluded.
