FKIP – Students of the Java Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta succeeded in making national-level achievements, namely being 3rd place in the AOG Essay Competition. Meanwhile, the student who succeeded in making this achievement was in the name of Wisnu Firmansyah.

AOG itself is an activity carried out in commemoration of the family birthday of the Vocational School (SV UNS) D-3 Agribusiness (Gamagrita) student. This activity is themed Reborn the Leader, Prepare the Future, and Glow for the Next Euphoria of Gamagrita (REXTAGLOVIA). it will take place online from 16-27 November 2021.

Wisnu said that in this competition, Wisnu presented an essay entitled “Indicators of Participatory Soil Quality to Monitor the Impact of Regenerative Agriculture on Ecosystems.” This essay contained local and technical indicators of soil quality, as well as its usefulness for agriculture.

“The essay that I wrote has the title ‘Indicators of Participatory Soil Quality to Monitor the Impact of Regenerative Agriculture on Ecosystems.’ Broadly speaking, it contains a combination of local and technical indicators of soil quality to present several potential benefits of agriculture,” said Wisnu in an interview with the fkip.uns team. .ac.id on Sunday (30/01/2022).

Vishnu also conveyed his impression that winning this competition was very fun and challenging.

“It was fun and challenging at the same time because the theme of this essay came out of the aspects that I learned in lectures. With intentions and challenges, I tried to get out of my comfort zone by trying to take part in an essay competition in an unfamiliar field, overall it’s good because I don’t just stay in my comfort zone,” continued Wisnu.

Wishnu, at the end of the interview, also expressed his hopes for the future.

“For the organizers, hopefully, there will be more events like this and there will be more student interest so that they will be lively in carrying out the competition,” concluded Wisnu.
