FKIP – Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta (UNS) students who are members of Group 4 of UNS Thematic KKN provide study assistance for students. This mentoring activity was carried out in Pondok Village, Karanganom District, Klaten Regency, Central Java Province. This KKN activity was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ir. Sudibyo, M.S., as the field supervisor in this activity.
The students who are members of this KKN group are Aldila Cahya Gayatri (Environmental Science/FMIPA), Erlita Pitaloka Asmarani (English Education/FKIP), Viona Rohmah AGK (Chemical Engineering.FT), Aisyah Mila Sari (Animal Husbandry/FP), Haninah Ainun M (Mathematics Education/FKIP), Imaduddin Naufal S. (Civil Engineering/FT), M. Daffa Auliarahman (Civil Engineering/FT), and Ichsan Nurrohim (Agricultural Extension and Communications/FP).
The activities carried out in Pondok Village are the use of village parks into learning gardens. This utilization is carried out to facilitate students to be able to learn during the pandemic (when PTM is limited). Haninah, the implementing team for Group 4 Thematic KKN, said that the use of village parks as learning parks was an effort to optimize the function of parks for educational purposes. “Our work program is to create a learning garden. Technically, every Sunday, we gather our younger siblings to study together.
The materials taught are English and Mathematics because generally, students consider the two subjects to be difficult,” explained Haninah to the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Monday (28/02/2022).

Haninah added that the reason her team chose to implement the learning garden program was to provide a fun learning place for younger students.
“The reason for organizing this learning garden program is to provide a fun place to learn by maximizing the function of the park. In addition, because the implementation of PTM is limited, it makes students have limited time to study at school, “continued Haninah.
Haninah also told the target of this learning garden program.
“The purpose of this learning park is so that younger siblings can understand the material in a fun way and enjoy the learning process,” said Haninah.
Haninah also shared her impressions and messages about carrying out this KKN activity.
“The impression and feeling of implementing this learning garden program are that I do not expect the high enthusiasm of the younger siblings. The high enthusiasm has an impact on our high enthusiasm (UNS students) to interact and share knowledge with younger students,” said Hannah.
At the end of the interview, Hannah conveyed her hopes to Pondok village and the students.
“The hope is that Pondok village will be more advanced and the children of Pondok village can become the next generation of a proud nation, beneficial for many people, the nation and the country,” he concluded.
