FKIP – Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta students who are members of the Group of 79 UNS Real Work Lectures (KKN) held an activity to plant 3,000 tree seedlings in the Community Forest of Dukuh Rejoso, Tanduk Village, Ampel District, Boyolali Regency. In collaboration with the Boyolali District Forestry Service, the event was held offline by implementing health protocols on Tuesday (15/2/2022).
Chaired by Iksan Widiantoro, the Group of 79 KKN UNS consists of nine members. They are Annisa Mulya, Emi Triyani, Mohamad Fiqri Pradana, Muhammad Didin Kamaludin, Muhammad Yusuf Mukarom, Naeli Irsyadah, Neriza Laras Widya, Rafli Firmansyah, and Zalfaa Azalia Pursita. This group was guided by Dwi Prasetyani, S.E., M.Si.
Iksan explained that the program was one of the efforts to increase public awareness of Dukuh Rejoso regarding the environment. This activity was attended by several parties.
“The program for planting 3,000 tree seedlings with various types yesterday was carried out with the help of the Boyolali Forestry Service, there was also fertilizer assistance for the Tanduk Village Farmers Group. The participants who participated yesterday consisted of KKN students, the Tanduk Village Farmers Group Association, and residents of Duku Rejoso.
This tree planting program consists of several activities. There is a tree seed hole making, planting seeds, making information on the name of the seeds, and documentation.
Hari as the Head of Tanduk Village said that the seed planting program was very helpful for Tanduk Village. He also considered that this event ran smoothly.
“With this program, we feel very helpful. The program can also be carried out well and smoothly. Previously the KKN brothers had coordinated with the Tanduk Village Farmers Group and village officials, including me as the village head so that the 79 KKN UNS Group could prepare the necessary needs. right in accordance with the program, “explained Hari.
In addition, the field supervisor for the Group 79 KKN UNS also gave a positive response to the implementation of this activity.
“This program is very useful, not only for farmer groups but also for the residents of Tanduk Village. In addition, this program is also beneficial for KKN students because it can be used as a means of learning about the benefits and functions of community forests, and KKN students can know how to plant the right way,” explained Dwi.
