FKIP – Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta Students who are members of the Working Lecture group Real (KKN) 93 carry out community service programs in Giritirto Village, Karanggayam District, Kebumen Regency. KKN activities are chaired by Azam Abdul Munib, a 2018 Industrial Engineering Student, and supervised by Dr. Idam Ragil Widianto as the field supervisor.
The members of this KKN group are Kunti Surya Rohmawati (FP), Juliana Nur Kartika (FMIPA), Asviana Dwi Setyari (FKIP), Yurike Ine Nurmala (FIB), Kholid Ma’sum Safe’i (FT), Zein Siddiq Rikiaifuni ( FT), Asteria Nadhia Kusumaningtyas (FT), and Kanindra Prahaspati (FT).
This KKN group carries out various work programs consisting of main work programs and supporting work programs. The main work program is in the form of optimizing MSMEs and organizing cultural arts performances for the citizens of Giritirto. Meanwhile, in the supporting work program, namely carrying out nine supporting programs, (1) Creating social media accounts for Giri Berkah SMEs, (2) Making and installing MSME banners, (3) Implementation of collage art skills for elementary students, (4) Learning the Javanese language for students of SD 01 Giritirto, (5) Development of creativity in origami collage art for PAUD students, (6) Healthy exercise with residents of Giritirto Village, (7) Empowerment and familiarity of Youth Organizations in Giritirto Village, (8) Organizing TPQ in Giritirto Village (9) Providing maps of land use and village potential, as well as improving village websites to support the development of Giritirto Village.
Azam Abdul Munib, head of the KKN 93 group, explained the form of implementation of the work program and the reasons for his team implementing the program.
“Optimizing the Giri Berkah MSMEs includes digital marketing socialization, MSME resource management, and assisting the PIRT registration process for Giri Berkah MSME products. The reason for doing this is because the Giri Berkah MSME is a new MSME that was established in November 2021, so it requires assistance,” explained Azam to the fkip.uns.ac.id team on Tuesday (8/3/2022).
Azam also explained that the cultural performances held in Giritirto Village were an effort to revive the culture in Giritirto Village.
“Art and culture performances are held as a way to revive the culture in Giritirto Village. Cultural performances as well as for the closing and farewell of KKN. The implementation of the stage involved many parties, namely children, youth groups, groups of mothers and fathers in Giritirto Village. Performances are held at night, a series of events in the form of regional dance performances and Ande-Ande Lumut drama and accompanied by Javanese gending,” continued Azam.
Azam said that the programs outlined in his KKN activities were intended to build and develop Giritirto Village, Kebumen.
“The target to be achieved from the Group 93 KKN program in Giritirto Village is to develop and build village potential.
It is hoped that the existence of KKN students in Giritirto Village can maximize the potential of the village, especially in the field of MSMEs and youth. With the development of an all-digital era, it can help sell MSME products and can help lift the people’s economy. Besides that, it is also to practice the knowledge gained and to grow the social spirit of students to the community in the village, “explained Azam
. At the end of the interview, Azam also expressed his hopes for the future.
“Hopefully, by participating in this KKN activity, students can gain experience of living in a community, be able to develop, and apply academic knowledge in the community,” concluded Azam.
