The workshop was held on Monday (28/2/2022) offline in the Hall of Campus V FKIP UNS and online through the Zoom Meeting application.

This workshop was one of the efforts of the PTB FKIP UNS Study Program to improve on all fronts to be better prepared to face the demands of the development of higher education. One of them is related to the MBKM program. By presenting a speaker who has experience in planning and implementing the MBKM program, it is hoped that this activity will provide a reference for the PTB FKIP UNS Study Program in managing the MBKM program.

This workshop was opened by Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. as the Dean of FKIP UNS. In his speech, he said that the implementation of the MBKM program requires the cooperation of various parties. He also said that the implementation of the MBKM program must be covered by SOPs.

“There are eight kinds of activities that are part of the MBKM Program. In its implementation, the MBKM program really requires cooperation, both between universities and between higher education and industry. All activities are expected to be covered by SOPs that facilitate the implementation of the MBKM Program by all parties involved. The existence of SOPs that are in accordance with the conditions in each study program will help realize the MBKM program,” said Dr. Mardiyana.

Moderated by Abdul Haris Setiawan, Ph.D. as a PTB FKIP UNS Lecturer, the workshop presented a speaker. He is Aris Widodo, S.Pd., M.T. He is the Head of the PTB Study Program (Kaprodi) Semarang State University (UNNES). In his presentation, he reviewed the journey of MBKM from the initial issuance of policies by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) to the implementation system of the MBKM Program at UNNES.

“Initially, MBKM was more focused on student exchange activities between universities. In its development, MBKM activities continue to expand to other activities. UNNES has developed a web-based system that can be accessed by all interested parties from anywhere,” said Aris.

The activity was followed by a discussion session. Meanwhile, the issues that were discussed by participants with resource persons were about the process of assessing learning outcomes and recognition of MBKM activities into courses according to the study program curriculum.

After the same interval, the activity continued by reviewing the SOP and the pattern of MBKM implementation in the PTB FKIP UNS Study Program led by the MBKM PTB FKIP UNS Coordinator, Dr. Ag. Tamrin, M.Sc., M.Pd. The results obtained from this workshop activity are in the form of a final SOP for the PTB MBKM Program which is ready to be implemented starting in the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Broadly speaking, the SOP contains the flow of the MBKM program implementation mechanism for students of the PTB FKIP UNS Study Program.
