FKIP UNS Organizes Submission and Orientation of Educational Internship Students from Tarlac Agricultural University, Philippines

FKIP – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta conducted examinations and orientation for educational internship students from Tarlac Agricultural University, Philippines on Monday-Tuesday (18-19/4/2022). The activity took place boldly through Zoom Meeting.

The collaboration between FKIP UNS and the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) College of Education is one of the first international educational internships carried out by FKIP UNS.

The implementation of educational internships takes place boldly from orientation to implementation and evaluation. This is due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has not yet ended, even though it has begun to subside.

In this activity, 10 students were handed over directly by the dean of the College of Education, namely Dr. Claire Anne Olivares, and received by Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro. After that, the students were handed over to their respective schools.

Six students received internships at UNS partner schools from the PAUD study program who will carry out internships at Pelita Nusantara Kasih Christian Kindergarten, six elementary school students who will be interning at SDII Al-Abidin Surakarta, and the Mayor of Mathematics Education Middle Education study program one person who will do an internship at the Al Azhar 21 Islamic Junior High School in Solo Baru.

Students who will carry out an internship for 42 days are well received by each partner school. This can be seen from the remarks given by the principal or his representative, namely Lutfi Yoanna Oenu, S.S. from Pelita Nusantara Kasih Christian Kindergarten, Muhammad Saifuddin, S.Si. from Al Azhar 21 Islamic Junior High School Solo Baru, and Desi a representative from SDII Al-Abidin Surakarta.

Besides being attended by internship students and school principals, this activity was attended by the Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Sc., and the Deputy Dean for Human Resources, Finance, and Logistics, namely Dr. Dewi Kusuma Wardani, M.Sc., civil servant teacher, “friend”, TAU foreign cooperation, and coordinator of educational internships from TAU.
