FKIP – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta which was appointed as the organizer of the event, successfully presented the Cultural Arts Performance and Announcement of the 46th Anniversary of the UNS Competition on Friday (20/5/2022). offline in the 3rd Floor Hall of the UNS Ki Hadjar Dewantara Building and online via a live broadcast on the Sebelas Maret University Youtube account.

The event was attended by the Chancellor of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M. Hum. along with the ranks of the Deputy Chancellors of UNS. In addition, the Secretary of the UNS Trustee, Chair of the UNS Academic Senate, Chair of the Council of Professors of UNS, Professors of UNS, Deans of Faculties at UNS and their staff, Head of Institutions at UNS, Head of Bureau at UNS, Dharma Wanita UNS, Head of Study Programs at UNS were also present. FKIP UNS, FKIP UNS Lecturers and Education Personnel, and Winners of the 46th UNS Anniversary Contest.

In this performance, FKIP collaborated with art actors in the UNS FKIP environment. Among them were musical performances by students with special education disabilities (PLB) FKIP UNS, Choir by Vox Magistra FKIP UNS, Gamelan music and Gambyong Panembrama dance by UPKD FKIP UNS, Javapela by the Java Language Education Study Program FKIP UNS, Pantomime by the FKIP UNS Platform Theater, Performance Art by the Fine Arts Education Study Program, FKIP UNS, and the appearance of the Keroncong Crew of FKIP UNS.

In his speech, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si. as the Dean of FKIP UNS expressed his gratitude for the trust given to FKIP UNS to organize this art performance. He also thanked the parties involved in the performance.

“We, on behalf of FKIP UNS, would like to thank you for the trust given to organize art performances which are routinely held by UNS on the 11th of each month. However, because it is still in a halal bihalal atmosphere, the performance in May 2022 will only take place on the 20th. We also thank the committee, artists, and all parties involved in this activity. We hope that the regular art performance program and sports activities every Friday can support a healthy educational climate,” said Dr. Mardiyana.

The activity continued with a speech from the Chief Executive of the 46th Anniversary, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., S.p.P(K). On the occasion, he said that the implementation of this activity illustrates that UNS has potential in the academic, artistic, and cultural fields.

“A series of activities and competitions in the framework of the 46th Anniversary of UNS have been carried out well. We chose May 20 as the announcement of the results of the 46th UNS Anniversary to show that there is also a national awakening at UNS which can be seen from the works of the winners of the competition. The announcement that coincided with this art performance was indeed an illustration that in addition to the academic field, UNS also has potential in the arts and culture fields, “said Prof. Reviono.

Furthermore, giving a speech and opening the Cultural Arts Performance and Announcement of the 46th UNS Anniversary Contest, UNS Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M. Hum. He hopes that this activity can become a routine activity at UNS so that it can become a forum for preserving arts and culture in Indonesia.

“We hope that the art performances, which are held in rotation from faculty to faculty at UNS on the 11th of each month, can be carried out regularly. With regular art performances, it will indirectly preserve art and culture in Indonesia,” said Prof. Jamal.

After the welcome session, the activity continued with the announcement of the results of the 46th UNS Anniversary competition and an art performance presented by the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of UNS.
