FKIP – Student Activity Unit (UKM) Islamic Activity Center (SKI) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held a Muslimah study with the theme “Be Istiqomah After Ramadhan!” online via Zoom Meeting on Friday (20/5/2022).
This study of Muslim women was held as an effort to maintain steadfastness in worship after the month of Ramadan had passed.
This study presents resource person Ustazah Deni Maulida, S.Tp. as waka of the Baitul Qur’an Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) curriculum and part of the Indonesian Family House (RKI), Gondang, Sragen.
At the beginning of the presentation, Ustazah Deni explained the meaning of persistence. According to the term, persistency is a firm and consistent attitude.
“Persistency according to the term is a firm and consistent attitude in maintaining faith and Islam despite facing various challenges, temptations, and threats,” said Ustazah Deni.
Furthermore, Ustazah Deni gave tips that can be done after the month of Ramadan to stay persistent.
“What should we do after Ramadan? First, let’s continue the practice of Ramadan. Second, let’s capture the spirit and wisdom of Ramadan. Third, realizing the character of piety within us,” said Ustazah Deni.
Next, Ustazah Deni explained that what he missed from the month of Ramadan was worship.
“What we miss in the month of Ramadan is not the agenda for breaking fast with him, but worship. We miss fasting, recitations, tarawih, tahajjud, or other worship that is not available in other months,” explained Ustazah Deni.
The study continued with Ustazah Deni’s invitation to reflect. Ustazah Deni also conveyed how to istikamah after Ramadan.
“The way of persistence after the first Ramadan, get used to qiyamul lail, be patient, sincere and surrender, remember death, recitation, remember the struggle of the Apostle, keep fasting, keep doing charity and giving alms, be happy and don’t be wrong, and gather with safe circles,” said Ustazah Deni.
The activity ended with a question and answer session and a closing statement from the speaker. According to him, persistence is hard, but it will be even more difficult if it is not practiced in the world.
“Once again this is the most comfortable circle that Allah has given us. Whenever there is an invitation to study any material, resolve ourselves to always be like empty glasses that are thirsty for knowledge. Prepare yourself to always get knowledge. Istikamah is hard, but it will be even more difficult if we don’t practice it in the world,” concluded Ustazah Deni.
