FKIP – Student Activity Unit (UKM) Islamic Activity Center (SKI) Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta held Routine Islamic Studies (KAISAR) #1 online via Zoom Meeting on Saturday (28/ 5/2022).

The study was opened directly by the head of SKI FKIP UNS, namely Andika Satria Yoga Suharno. In his speech, Yoga said that lectures and worship are priorities that should be balanced.

“Hopefully, meeting us in this Zoom room will not dampen our enthusiasm for studying, especially to find out how our quality is in improving our worship and the conditions of our lectures. Maybe this is something that is both a priority but sometimes it’s not balanced or maybe it’s too biased towards one of them,” said Andika.

This study carries the theme “Lecture VS Worship: Is It Balanced?” by presenting the resource person Hafis Muzakir, S.S. as an Arabic teacher and teacher of the Koran at RK Solo.

“Regarding whether the theme of worship and lectures is appropriate or not, we must know and understand what worship is,” said Hafis at the beginning of his presentation.

Hafis explained that worship is a term that covers everything, whatever is done and it is loved and approved by God.

According to Hafis, there are rules that must be obeyed and obeyed when someone worships.

“Just like us, if we want to worship Allah, we must first learn what worship Allah loves and Allah has prescribed, whether it is obligatory, makruh, or permissible. Don’t let us enter into unlawful acts,” said Hafis.

Then, Hafis explained whether or not the balance between lectures and worship should be seen from the quality of worship performed and the quality of study or lectures.

Hafis also appealed to always intend everything that will be done only for God.

“One more thing, we must do whatever it is, we intend to worship only Allah,” said Hafis.

The activity ended with a documentation session and a closing statement in the form of a conclusion of the content of the study from the speaker.
